Hot on the heels of our first look at the new Transformers Studio Series 86 Battle Damage Ratchet, now via eBay user transmimi we have our first in-hand images of this figure.
This is a retool of the Studio Series 86 Voyager Ratchet with a new face and a damaged chest, similar to the Buzzworthy Bumblebee Studio Series Ironhide release (packed with Prowl). We have an extensive gallery of Ratchet’s robot mode from different angles plus comparisons with the original Studio Series 86 Ratchet and the aforementioned damaged Ironhide toy.

I keep saying, "A hero is betrayed" two-pack of Sentinel with a slightly retooled head with battle damage + a removable helmet and his rust cannon with a cosmic rust deco Ironhide would get some people to buy that

If they did characters like Bayverse Ironhide or BW Dinobot or TFA Prowl I’d probably feel similar
But they basically have with the Devastation pack replacing it next year. Which will sell better than both of these going by how shelfwarmed the last corpse pack did

Ratchet his me harder than Prime ever did… As a youth, I loved Ratchet because of Marvel… So seeing him offed like he was soft butter bothered me. Fortunately, he was still going in the comics at the time (at a diminished role, alas).

Doubtful. They are about due for a reset soon anyway. Maybe sooner since Walmarts are in the midst of a reset or just completed one.

We've seen multiple Death Ratchets in-hand, so they're being produced.

I think Ratchet and likely Brawn have been through production, and will still come out at Target. They're probably going to keep the Squeezeplay multipack company on the shelf this summer.
I'm not exactly itching for another Target preorder. They're a waste of time more often than not.

Shouldn’t pre-orders have gone up by now? I was for certain in April.
Think it will end up as a Hasbro Pulse Generations Selects exclusive? Or just cancelled?

If the existing molds were already full with tooled parts, then, yes, absolutely, it would've cost a lot more to cast one additional mold to fit the one part. Casting new molds is the most expensive part of toy production.
