The Marvel colours on this figure is beautiful. Never was a fan of this mold but this deco looks wonderful! I love the crown and the swords. His quality is pretty good for being the fourth use of the mold. The comic deco really brings out the detailing on the dino mode very well. He also matches the blue on Swoop quite well. Hey, y'all! Apologies for the light bump, for a weirdly specific question, but: Has anyone tried putting Generations Comic Edition Shockwave's Optimus Prime head, on Studio Series Gamer Edition Optimus Prime? How does that look like?

Haha, yeah…I wish that were simply the case, but in my defense I had to feel the scalpers in order to acquire them. Not very proud of myself. 

Sorry to hear that man- to be fair though, it’s been like 3 years since the original release, and we only just found out that they were giving him a PR. Don’t be too hard on yourself

Honestly, if it were me, I'd open it only because I've always loved the coloring on comic Grimlock a lot more than just the plain greys on the dinobots. That blue and bright yellow just begs to be handled and posed. I'm still holding myself back from purchasing this version since I already have two of the 86 Grims.

Honestly, the color is what made me hold off on getting Comic Grimlock. Granted, he does look amazing, but next to the others he stands out like a sore thumb (which is funny cause I did buy Toxitron Grimlock last year and he matches even less). If the listing for the 86 PR next year hadn’t come out, I’d definitely have picked him up- the crown and extra swords are really cool.

But budget is budget and buying another leader class would have killed my wallet :/

For someone who already owns a Studio Series 86 Grimlock, should I still open up this one or keep it mIB?

I know most people will want it. I’m hoping someone just likes the Shockwave and doesn’t care about the Marcel Comics aspect. If not, oh well.

The Optimus head is actually one of my favorite parts of the whole comic line. I had that comic as a child and remember reading the issue on the bus to school. I never thought it would exist in physical form, and the 4 5mm ports on the bottom will make for some interesting weapon/fossilizer combos!
