Found Prime, Megatron and Grimlock from that wave at my local drugstore.
Aberration
I wonder why they had to create new molds for these characters. Were the previous molds used to the point of wearing out, or no longer able to be produced at this price point?
Max Tower
Considering how Grimlock has knees to be able to transform then not even giving him seperated legs for that reason is kinda bizarre.
But I think we found the point of "acceptable minimum quality" that they just glided past to crossing into 'unacceptable'. If they were have cost issue they can just raise the darn price.
It feels like they were trying to not raise the price to close to Core Class… but being bigger who cares if they cost the same as a core class especially when they could have made such a nice Cheetor in the same style as Optimus Primal (which most people admired as a "worthy attempt" in the context of the line.
Maybe they hired the same person with bad eyesight who designed Authentic Arcee ?
Kinda sad really as Wheeljack was also reasonable and hell even the Titan Changer Cheetor is better than most.
Grimlock at least has the virtue of a better beast mode than the previous one.
But Optimus is just "trashy" looking.
No they are worse than that they look like Burger King toys.
Not only that, when the Chinese market sometimes simplified a toy they didn't go this far.

Regarding the Bravo Optimus Prime, can anyone tell me if the head is a seperate piece, or molded onto the "flap" it sits on? Is it attached via ball-joint? Is the head larger or smaller than the previous Bravo Optimus?
Snake_eyes1975
As much as you all have heard me say "these aren't for you guys…cmon..lighten up..they are kids toys..not aimed at collectors.."
I can't say that here. These are some of the worst looking transformers I've seen officially licensed.
seawatch
How did they go from Optimus Primal, Barricade, and Arcee to these? Again, same price point and they’re night and day. These are genuinely horrible toys, Bumblebee’s uncanny arm stems would depress any kid.
tjmd
Or hate a co-worker that loves Transformers to get it for them…
artiepants
You’d have to really hate a kid to pick one of these up for them….
King Nergil
Wow. These are substandard. Just in case you didn't get it, Hasbro: It's 2024!
Vanya
In my professional opinion… bleh!
WhiskyTFoxtrot
That Megatron is a huge step down from the previous version. I actually have the old Bravo Megatron and prefer him to the Kingdom Core class (slightly bigger and less fiddly while still looking like Megatron and having decent articulation) but this new version looks like crap. At least the Alpha from the other post looks good.
BB Shockwave
These look all pretty bad, but Prime takes the cake with his inverse colored legs (did the factory mix up the color chart codes?) and his permanently elbowing arms.
RodimusRex
The KOs would be better for the brand's image. These actively degrade the brand.
Or maybe I'm wrong. Missing Link Authentics Bravo Optimus Prime in 40 years?
Revoticus
I know its easy to knock these guys down but we are at that point where even Authentics figures are a step down now.
The previous Authentics was better in my opinion, they at least have separate legs and looks solid from the front.
Philip164
The whole point of these are to have Authentic Transformers rather than cheep knock offs, but yeah these are getting worse.
I\'m suprised Hasbro just dosn\'t resurect RPM\'s, you can\'t get cheaper on the parts count than a RPM.
Olvacron22
Yeah I know I know \"they\'re made for kids\" but tell me what kid would honestly want this crap over the one-step/flip changers or those Earthspark finger puppets. Plus these look so flimsy and weak, at least the mainline made for kids stuff feels decent.
Toadalinakong
I\'m glad these are still a thing, because they\'re accessible & cheap and sometimes the only TF\'s available to a family. But in terms of design, this batch is a new low

I’m not interested in this line, but Bumblebee’s shoulders aren’t even fit for little kids. I can just imagine my 7-yo’s face if I gave him that. I don’t think he’d ever respect me again.
WishfulThinking
Probably $6-7. I'd recommend kids spend $5 on Tacticons over these.
