Possible First Look At Unreleased Transformers Kre-O Kreon Warriors Series 4

Via Baidu user Luciferous we have images of what seems to be an unreleased Transformers Kre-O Kreon Warriors Series 4.

The Kreon figures have been kind of confusing to track over the years, with new releases showing up out of nowhere. After a long time of silence, we have pictures of what would have been the Kreon Warriors Series 4. Considering Series 3 was never released at retail, these new figures are a nice surprise. We have Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, Megatron, Jazz, Starscream and Hot Rod (?) reimagined as historical warriors. In any case, take this with a grain of salt until we get an official or more reliable confirmation.

Man forgot how wild some of the designs were in the Warrior series. A Viking/Knight Grimlock just WUT!?! :lol

yeah its almost certainly drift, hes dual wielding things. weirdly enough this would mean drift was planned in 3 separate color schemes over the mapped out life of kre-o. All the released drift minifigs are based on the movie version, the battle changer was based on his IDW incarnation (except with an added helicoptor mode based off his movie incarnation), and these would be based on his RID15 colors

Hard to tell eras for some of these but I would say-
WW2 or steampunk optimus? seems kind of generically soldier-y honestly but could also be post-apocalyptic, yeah
Gangster era jazz
Steampunk megatron? this could also be mad max/post apocalyptic, depending on whether hes holding some sort of mad science vial or a molotov cocktail. the hair leads me to believe the former.

Cowboy Starscream
then yeah about half of them are generic ninja, samurai, or knights

Edit: using the wiki to see the categories they used for the warriors figures and looking at the wave 3 leaks, I have to assume a couple things. One is that the wiki and possibly any marketing materials/packaging for wave 3 were wrong and the wave 3 leak actually contained Wiseguy Prime instead of Army Prime. so what we have here would be:
Knight Optimus Prime
Army Optimus Prime (Someone whose active on the wiki wanna investigate the old wave 3 leak and see if there is anything that definitively pointed to that one being army prime and it wasnt just labelled that on assumption? I'm looking at the picture in that old thread and it seems pretty clear to me its wiseguy prime)

They were fun for awhile, but the second they stopped putting codes on the packaging, I stopped collecting them. But Kre-o never took off.

Hasbro's experiments with Built-2-Rule, Construct-Bots, Kre-o, and 1 Lego. Hasbro needs to realize Transformers need to Transform, and building sets are ether not intricate enough or strong enough with ought a central Skeleton; even then there were problems.

Pretty sure they've realized it now. They've let Lego do the latest offering, that Optimus. Even handled by an original TF designer.

usually these sets were in assortments of 12… The fact that there are 13 here makes it feel a bit suspicious…

there are only 12 here, one of them is just army prime twice (goggles up, goggles down)

I have pretty much all the standard Kreons, and most of the exclusives. 356 according to my last count. While warriors series 3 was never officially released, several samples have been on eBay previously, they are just more expensive than what I want to pay for them. Its a shame because the concept was cool. I cant imagine they were too expensive to produce. I could have gone without the sets, and just let the mini-figs continue. There are literally thousands of TF characters, so this could have gone on nearly endlessly. Too bad it didn't keep going. The warriors were fun, but I'd rather have different characters than just Optimus, Megs, Starscream & BB etc in different outfits.

Apart from you, the only other dude I know that religiously collects Kreo TFs is @griffin-of-oz.

Man I miss Kre-O, the blind bags and combiner sets were so cool. And the big sets were awesome, I know I\'m probably gonna get burned and hung for this but I actually really enjoyed taking them apart to transform them.

I loved Kre-o, they were such fun little sets. I always the kreon class sets from SDCC and Botcon ones

I love the Warriors KREONs! cool to see they had tentative plans for more.

somehow i need to get a couple of those ones from the first waves. not to mention some D&D kreons!

those teeny mini-kreons are cool too i have almost all of the Cityville(?) ones. somewhere.
