Actually, I think it's just alluding to TM2 Tigerhawk, which hasn't been announced yet here in Japan. So I take back what I previously said.
skunkobot
Right. The era of the show Beast Wars Metals. They call him Beast Wars Metals Universe Silverbolt, just as we have Animated Universe Prime.
Are we going to get done TMs? I hope so, does this description guarantee that? No. This is just typical copy fluff, and even if we buy into the idea that Silverbolt is the first of multiple BWM figures, they’re solid toss out a Quickstrike and move on, and this blurb would be just as true.

What a saga with this figure.
I hope everyone who wants one is able to get their hands on one. I got screwed by Target but then snatched a preorder with HLJ a few weeks ago.
I called BBTS since they often carry the Japanese releases (Premium Finish, Missing Link, Dramatic Capture), unfortunately, they do not have plans to carry SS-122.

I agree with the previous poster. It's hard to give an exact translation on the nuance, but the Japanese wording is pretty clear: "… Heading into the Beast Wars Metals era. Spearheading/leading the way is Beast Wars Metals Universe Silverbolt".
John Titor
Yikes! I feel bad for Americans then.
lord ginrai
Prime wasn't available from the start, while Rhinox was available for a few days until Amazon toggled US availability off.
skunkobot
Your TM2 Megs point is valid, but nothing here says more Transmetals are coming, just that Silverbolt is from BW Metals, which is what the show (or at least the relevant part) was called.
Though I wouldn’t be mad at some TMs…
John Titor
So those specific releases were never available for Americans?
lord ginrai
It's because he's in the US. AMJ has been making certain preorders unavailable to US customers recently. Same deal with MP Rhinox.
AmiAmi still has him

John Titor
Sorry, that's really too bad. I don't know if it's due to some geographic settings but orders can still be placed. I tried it just now.

I must be doing something wrong. Says no offers available on AJ.
John Titor
They didn't, the toy is already sold out at some retailers.
John Titor
Already up on Amazon Japan and elsewhere. Get it quick because some places like HLJ already sold out for their preorders.
Requiem Prime
looking forward to Takara SS122 coming up for preorder
cyberpredicus
I just hope that Takara makes enough of SS 102 Optimus Prime or whatever they’re calling it for everyone to get one

I agree – although I am a bit bummed out by the beast-mode, the more I see of it. I’m really excited for this figure – but yeah, the original toy definitely had better beast proportions. I wonder why this one seems to have gone a little wonky /:

They are opening up as well. Though I should have stated that open boxes sell better to kids/parents as spontaneous purchases. Leaders, Commanders and Titans are more planned purchases for special occasions (birthdays and christmas) so those don't need the added marketing advantage an open box has.
Girl Pants
Yeah, leaders are opening up. Tigerhawk and Concept Megatron are open.
JukeOutlander
Is Hasbro not trying to sell leader/commander class to kids then, or are they planning on opening those up as well?
