Via Transfans Facebook we have new images of the color prototype of Metagate G-05 Red Fantasy (Bumblebee Movie Shatter Triple-Changer).
This looks like an impressive rendition of Bumblebee Movie Shatter in movie-accurate robot, car and jet mode. We have a closer look at each mode and her included accessories: 4 missiles, display base, and gun. Robot mode will stand 28 cm, car mode is about 22.5 cm long and jet mode is 30.5 cm long. This figure should be ready to be released by next month.

Out of scale altforms are a perfect disguise!! Transformers can hide their actual position using perspective!!
"Look, there's a plane coming directly at us but we still have time to get away since it's far away!!" *Boom* tiny plane fooled you and now you are road pizza.

What more confirmation from the movie do you need? Both Blackout and Starscream in 07 use mini vehicle modes in some scenes but literally every Shatter and Dropkick alt-mode scene has a smaller vehicle.

The figure is out and there's more talk about scale than the figure itself.
Snaku
I get it and it makes perfect sense but, unless the movies actually come out and say they're miniature aircraft, I just don't accept it. It's just too stupid and it goes against pretty much all of the established lore of Transformers. I mean yeah, that lore doesn't really make sense and it gets hand-waved as "mass shifting" (we can actually see Bumblebee shrink as he transforms into robot mode on the beach with Charlie in frame) but that's more palatable to me than the idea of the Decepticons turning into a bunch of miniature RC planes.
Primal Suit
Because from a distance an Aircraft is alot harder to distinguish even if they're smaller, it'll work as a suitable disguise.
Shmoptimus Prime
Nah, all the wheels still roll. Not perfectly, but they function. It's the underside kibble for me.
Wizardlizard714
I don’t own it yet but do the fins in the wheels stop it from rolling?
Shmoptimus Prime
Agreed.
Also, does anyone else have trouble getting the car mode transformed correctly to where it will actually roll? Even out of the box it didn't roll due to the kibble underneath. Transforming it back to car mode for the first time I was able to get it to where the kibble wasn't lifting the middle of the car up, but it still won't roll.

As I said I don't mind this kind of scaling either as long as these characters are in some kind of action poses (where the height differences are not so obvious).
Snaku
I figured it was the film makers just playing fast and loose with the cgi models and that it wasn't meant to be a literal scale. The idea of Decepticons running around as model airplanes is ridiculous. Why bother with a disguise at all? Just stick with their cybertronian modes.
Shmoptimus Prime
She's definitely a bit too tall, but I'm just saying that for me, the scale works OK, especially since I don't intend to get any other MPM-level versions of these characters. Also to me, Shatter is more of a bayverse-style bot, where her robot mode is way too big for the car she's supposed to turn into, but it works cause it looks cool.
The MPM line has been getting better and better. The last few entries have absolutely been as good as any 3P offerings, if not better. And this is always going to be a silly comparison to me, since 3p can do whatever they want, and hastak has to deal with budgets, safety laws, retailers, etc.
Yeah for sure, I thought that was obvious from the movie.
Hehe you got it bub:

Amazing figure! Still holding out for a while more in case Metagate decides to release repaints (with more accurate shade of grey compared to the white that is used in the figure currently)

Hm… I was kinda hoping it was unpainted glossy red so that there wouldn’t be chipping. How durable is the paint?

Shatter and Dropkick both definitely have shrunken flight modes, we can see them during the final fight and the triple changing scene. Blitzwing I'm not as certain.
Snaku
Is that canonical? It's always hard to tell because planes usually appear by themselves on screen. On one hand, there would certainly be some logic to that but on the other hand, it kinda' blows up the Robots in Disguise thing and, since they already mass shift anyway, I don't see why they wouldn't just mass shift for their plane modes.

Does anyone have any new information about the rebound ball of metagate?
divinecomedy
I was going to get this, but maybe I still will, but if they do a weathered repaint then I would kick myself for not waiting for that version.
Primal Suit
Just a reminder that Shatter, Dropkick, and Blitzwing all have miniaturized jet modes in the movie , so the actual jet size doesn't matter when considering their height. However, Bee goes from 10 feet to 15 feet in different scenes which subsequently means Shatter herself can be 16 – 21 feet tall. Either way , Metagate Shatter fits perfectly in DLX scale; IMO she's too big for Transcraft Bee, but perfect for CE Bee.

No doubt, if we are talking about its alt modes; Shatter should be gigantic compare to Prime. I'm just basing what I said on the bot mode (since that seems to be how most companies tend to gauge their transformers products these days). Otherwise, (for example) something like the G1 Megatron would be very tiny in bot mode compare to any decepticons. But that isn't the case when it transforms into bot mode.
