I mean I'm down for KOs if it means better quality than the official product. Definitely am looking for an Ironhide KO myself since I heard MPM-06 was abysmal.
Wizardlizard714
Honestly I’d just recommend the ko for 07, if you’ve not seen any comparisons, the difference is night and day and they’re actually available, but of course kos aren’t for everyone
Cybertrovenator
Hrrrrmmmm… maybe I'll get him. Honestly I'd just love a rerelease of his '07 MPM [if they ever do one]
Throway
Ratchet is pretty packed under there as it is

There are people who think Hasbro owns Takara (if you know Japanese business/property ownership law this is EVEN FUNNIER)
SunSwipe5
I do want this guy, if only for the paint scheme. It's just, I've never seen a car bot with so much kibble hanging off the underside of its vehicle mode.
What the actual hell, HasTak?
Price for this dude is decent at AmiAmi.

More to the response of why its so much more expensive as mentioned in some of the earlier post, because people believe Hasbro and Takara are some singular entity for some reason. Hasbro selling Ratchet for $119 has butkus to do with what takara themselves are selling him at.
Throway
16,900 with the PO discount though
jackisking
24200 to USD = 163 ,so not really gouging, people are probably compairing the price changes to what they paid for the Hasbro original version. No way were the original Takara versions cheaper given the strength of the dollar now versus then.

Awesome that they’re making this, but like Starscream’s repaint, it doesn’t say “must buy!” to me. I’m happy with just having the 2007 movie cast.
(Though if they ever start making non-repaint sequel characters, I’ll probably change my tune lol)
Throway
Takara is only charging a tiny bit more. Be mad at hasbro for gouging the import cost
JazzAlert13
That’s fair. I’ll take less poseablity for a nice transformation any day. Same with visual sacrifices if it makes it more fun to convert. Different strokes for different folks I suppose.
VVa
Fair point, I used to have that mindset as well. But I've grown to like non converting TFs because without the limtiation of having to do so, they look near flawless and can pose excellently. And I like having my figures do more than just stand there.
For stuff like G1 you can have the best of both worlds most of the time, but Movie Bots sort of need help outside of Hasbro to look their best.

Reason I collect transformers and allow myself to spend $$ on em is because there’s the aspect of playability. Without it they’d just end up sitting on a shelf collecting dust for me. Even if 90% of the time my bots are in robot mode I still love messing around with them. To omit that is to omit the point of them (for me obv, not for others).
The Yolopark ones have at least a replacement in playability. No transformation but at least they’re nice little kits.

Well we did get ROTF Scalpel.
Anything's possible!

Life size frenzy when?
VVa
Yep, those are it! I know non-transformable figures are a mixed bag but let's be honest and admit the robot mode is the real show. The MPMs look nice but they've all got their visual shortcomings that make you think they just aren't enough.
Like the more I look at MPM Ratchet, the more I dislike it. The grill gaurd doesn't warp and he's got weird kibble.
JazzAlert13
Those’re the little kits right? I’d be down. I don’t typically go for non transforming figs but I could bite on one of those maybe.
VVa
Wish Yolopark would make TF1 Autobots. We've seen what they can produce and sell for $36.
JazzAlert13
Man, he looks mega impressive. Don’t collect mp, though, and don’t plan on starting. Movie Ratchet really is such a cool design though. Gosh.
