Because none of them were based on characters from the movie? I mean, save for Scorponok….who was likely picked because Scorpy was in the movie but as an unnamed army builder.

If that's the metric for single packed Battle Masters in the mainline, what character in the movie was Skullcruncher based on?

Ah yes, I forgot Chainclaw and Arrowstripe were 2packs (gave the larger figures to nephews).

Really Hasbro… couldn't give these guys single releases and have 4 unique figures per wave? Having 3 figures in a case of 12 (or whatever, sorry I don't know case size for these) led to a lot of shelfwarming…

One of the main reason WFC Battlemasters and Micromasters failed, though not nearly spoken of enough.

Can someone pick me up an Airazor please? I can pay for her.

I'd love to know why Hasbro thought 3 waves of these battle masters were necessary.

One, it could have been 2 waves with a single repeat toy instead of the latter 2 waves full of repeats.

Two, it should have been 2 completely unique waves. Wave 1 is fine (Cheetor, Rhinox, Skullcruncher), but make wave 2 Primal, Airazor, and a black repaint of Cheetor. It would take 10 minutes of effort to design new paint apps and packaging for Shadow Panther.

Anyways, back on topic, Airazor is the best figure of the line, IMHO.

Alternatively, Arrowstripe, Chainclaw and Scorponok could have all gotten single pack releases. Cheetor and Rhinox both got packed with larger figures and got single packs, so why were those 3 stuck packed with larger figures?

I bought one last Wednesday: there were 2 of her cardboxes on the pegs… but only 1 still had the figure in it. 

Look on the bright side: you didn’t have to stand in the aisle comparing paint apps between the two because somebody wanted one of the caged birds to be free.

I just ordered one a few days ago on Target's site. Set an instock reminder and was lucky enough to be free when it popped. Showed up yesterday. Unfortunately since these are assortments the retail stock notification is useless.
