Third Party company Newage Toys have updated their Facebook account with images of the color prototype of their H57 Freyr (Legends Scale G1 Swoop).
This is a very nice cartoon-accurate rendition of the flying G1 Dinobot. Both modes look pretty close to the cartoon proportions and design. Robot mode is 11.3 cm tall and the wingspan is 26.5 cm in dino mode. He comes with a pair of extra hands, launching missile effects, guns and a display base.
To top it all, Newage have also revealed the first variant: H57T Freyr, in clear plastic.
See the new image after th jump and then sound off on the 2005 Boards!

I’m glad they can all at least hold the flame in their mouth so far, I hope they keep that going.

Looks cool to me. On to the EX!

It seems the pterodactyl head is mistransformed in robot mode. The red bits on the sides should be turned to the inside.
divinecomedy
I don't quite like his forearms in bot mode.

Please reveal the EX variant already NewAge, I can't take it anymore !

The effects part for the missiles can't fit into Swoop's beak, but you can use Grimlock's.

Nobody’s saying you collect wrong. If you think the box is worth $50, go for it.

I like that the video specifically mentions it has an ab crunch.

Don't imply that I'm lying then. ShowZ support helped me out once. This time they're pointing fingers all over even if it makes no sense. The shipper did it! Wait, it was customs! No, Bigfoot!
And I don't have to justify calling out that "you should've used ShowZ" is a brainless response to somebody having a problem with ShowZ.
And here we go, implying that I collect wrong. Welcome to 4chan. It's not a minor scuff, the boxes are completely ripped open. Frankly, my experience is that the "boxes are worthless and I throw them all away" is empty posturing more often that not. I've sold toys for over ten years and all it takes is a microscopic ding or scratch to get people trying to get massive discounts off of clearance prices. All of that talk is just noise when it's your money. At least I'm honest about it.
Their published policy says they inspect boxes before packing and won't ship a damaged box. Some people read that and take it at face value. Just because you don't care doesn't make that invalid. Christ, I'm the biggest BBTS fanboy out there and I would never treat somebody having a problem with BBTS like I've been treated for having a problem with ShowZ.

For some , i guess the box is really worth the extra 50 USD that the US etailers are selling.
RameezTheElite
If anyone here wants to spend an additional $50 for EACH figure they purchase for the hopes that their boxes don’t come with a minor scuff, then you are free to do so!
Mechman42
Jeez dude, no need for aggression.
So from what I'm hearing, the figure is completely fine?
BairdimusPrime
AGREED, they've been nothing but helpful for me over at @ShowZStore

Dude, their warehouse support blamed two ripped open boxes on "shipping" and then when that didn't work because the shipping cartons had no such damage they decided it was "customs" at fault. You've seen ShowZ's packing, right? Customs did not even touch this package. They would've had to rip the grey "ShowZ.store" wrap apart just to get to the carton and rip through the orange "ShowZ.store" tape to get the corners off so they could get into it. Then they've had to remove the bubble wrap (which is often, but not always, taped shut too), look at the window box, and decide to rip the side open but not enough to "inspect" anything that wasn't visible from the window already. And then neatly put it all back together. Twice, mere months apart, in just about the only country _without_ legions of customs agents sniffing for VAT revenue. Really, this is their own _excellent_ packing making it hard to cover up a mistake.
Sorry, this has me angrier than usual because of the buck being passed. Their own site says they inspect for this type of damage and don't ship them. So why am I getting the runaround? If I wanted to play Russian roulette with these things, I'd be on Taobao or Alibaba or eBay like the illiterate poster between us's imaginary friend told him.
And if you could read, you'd keep your L take to yourself.
RameezTheElite
This is the most L take i've read in a while.
If you shop from trusted sellers then you won't run into this issue
Mechman42
I've never seen showz customer service 'shrug', they're usually extremely helpful.
RKillian
Paying $120 for one Dinobot at BBTS is cheaper than paying $150 for two when one ships/arrives damaged and customer service just shrugs.
I'll definitely be cutting back if it comes to that though.

I know it isn't accurate, but I wish they could have used the lighter gray somewhere on the arms too. I think it would look more . . . balanced?
Not the end of world (and I might change mind once he's in hand) but can't say I love the lighter thighs.
