The official Takara Tomy Transformers Twitter have just revealed a new Transformers x Seiko Collaboration Limited G1 Transformers Autobot Watch.
This is a very nice stainless-steel Seiko watch featuring Transformers elements like the Autobot insignia, Energon cube, plus luminous watch hands and leather belt. It will be a limited run of only 300 units with the serial number engraved in the back of the watch.
Pre-order windows will be from 2023/09/05 from 2024/01/10 via U-Treasure website for 59400 Yen which is about $402.13.

Price is subjective, but I think ~$400 is far. I mean the past TWO Titans would be around $400 and well, IMHO the value is not there for those.
It's practically hypocritical to think other collectable prices are unreasonable in a Transformers forum. You don't like things? I get it, but prices for TFs these days aren't something to scoff at either. There was that other RotB watch's price which was….a tad higher so I'm a little more sympathetic bashing there.
A previous Seiko collab I wanted was the Macross one, but it looked lame and was a quartz. Basically just slapped the logo on a subdial. So I felt fine passing

I would have liked an automatic though. Movic's Cowboy Bebop one (I'm forever spoiled by it) was an open heart automatic and was only like $300. Shoddy build, but the engine can be done for cheaper.

I recently gained an appreciation for traditional wristwatches. As someone that owns smart watches and analog watches, I realized there isn't anything my smart watch can do that my cell phone can't. So I use my watches as accessory pieces. I just appreciate the classiness and craftsmanship of some of the pieces I own. My current everyday watch is a Seiko, and I've fallen in love with the brand since I got that watch. Some of the best finishing at that price range.

I'm a Seiko fan in addition to Transformers, so this watch appeals to me—but, I'd like it more if it were some kind of nerdy digital watch like a calculator or the Sports 100, or even an ana/digi like an Arnie. Something that screams 80's.

Analog watches do tend to cost a pretty penny. I honestly think this is a pretty good price for one. I have a pretty simple solar powered diving watch, and even that cost well over 200 dollars

I googled Seiko stainless steel watches and the pricing was running from 1-300 plus.
I mean, anything’s worth what you want to pay, but fancy analog watches go easily into the thousands.
for a classy execution of the brand (in that they kept it subtle/clean and didn’t slap a piece of the crappy evergreen design art on it) and such a tiny run, it seems pretty reasonable to me. (A lot more so then most budget-reduced modern $25 deluxe figures)
