Third party company Mastermind Creations has revealed the new R-48NP Nox Prominon, yet another reuse of the Optus Pexus base mold, this time a Scourge/Nemesis Prime-themed version of the previous Optus Prominon variant.
The figure is shown here in his robot and vehicle modes along with his many accessories and some poses, displaying once again the mold’s impressive articulation. He is available for preorder now at retailers and is currently scheduled to be released at the end of this year.

That actually does bring to my mind an interesting question: How is a sculpt with nooks and crannies done via mold injection in a way that can be released from the mold? I know FunPub back in the day kinda blamed the sad Botcon Metalhawk head ending up the way it did on this reason (though I think Takara later kinda threw shade at FP for basically being cheap).

Ah, that’s great! I’d prefer to PO through Showz since they’ve been my main retailer for a while. That new headsculpt looks amazing, I love molded in battle damage.
