We are saddened to report that we have learned that Peter Spellos, voice Of RID Sky-Byte, is battling cancer.
Mr. Spellos’s Facebook post let us know that he received an unexpected diagnosis of stage 3 pancreatic cancer in July of this year. His family and friends are attempting to raise funds for treatment via this Gofundme page.
While Mr. Spellos got into the Transformers franchise thanks to his incredible and fun role as the voice of RID Sky-Byte, he has had a prolific career dedicated to acting, teaching, comedy, and conventions.
We hope the best on this hard moment. Till all are one!

Damn shame. I never met him, but an IRL friend of mine took an improv class or two with him and had nothing but good things to say about the experience, and about him.
RiD01/Car Robots was huge for making me into the Transformers fan I am today, and Sky-Byte is far and away the highlight of that dub. I'm glad he's no longer suffering from his health issues and I hope he's in whatever better place might await us, but it's still a real shame that it went like this.
