Coming to us via @TFShowUK on Twitter, we have our first in-hand images of the new Transformers Studio Series Core Class The Transformers: The Movie Decepticon Frenzy (Red).
This is a straight redeco of the previous Studio Series Core Class G1 Rumble in movie-accurate colors. We have images of the figure in his both modes, packaging and a comparison shot next to his brother Rumble.
See the images after the jump and then join to the ongoing discussion on the 2005 Boards!

What I want to know is how are some of you guys already getting this figure?

You got the chase variant..you gotta hunt down the right foot now!

As if HasBLOW's QC wasn't bad enough already my Frenzy arrived with probably the worst defect I've ever encountered; his left foot is cast in white plastic instead of the pearly-light-grey it's supposed to be. I'm done with Transformers now. I could let the QC issues with HasLab Star Saber slide but this is a bridge too far. Truly a slap in the face of the fans everywhere.

Like Rumble he's a pretty neat little guy, they look rad next to each other on the shelf, very crazzimatic. I wonder if the white plastic is from another Casseticon that might be in production but I can't think of any that had white feet. Enemy, maybe? Rewind?

Got my Frenzy today, he kicks so much ass! Makes for a perfect duo with 86 Rumble and Netflix Soundwave, and one improvement I noticed is that he actually fits inside Soundwave's chest perfectly. Rumble would often jam inside the chest compartment instead of it opening properly: Frenzy not only opens properly but practically shoots out of the chest cavity in a way very reminiscient of the cartoon

Ha. There was a whole thing about that in the IDWverse. Cybertronians who turned in to bombs and then got dropped.
It was…bleak.

I always thought it's alt mode was a speaker, like one of those obnoxious ones in small cars.

Blockrock needs more love.
poor guy turns into an actual exploding bomb so I guess that's probably why Blaster doesn't let him out very often unfortunately.

These two so needs an upgrade kit

Speaking of the “condor” bots I still would rather see a new core mold for Laserbeak. But let’s not argue about that because there’s a really obscure character from Universe (2008): Classic Series called Blockrock he was included with Autobot Blaster. I’ve always wished they’d explore him again. Though I’d find him difficult as he kind of has color resemblance to SG Laserbeak.

I'd still like to see replacement parts for their arms to give them elbows.
MegaOmnitron
I hope they’re separate molds to be honest but I then hope they finish the other cassettes that appeared in the film.

Besides G1 Enemy like you said… Toy G1 Frenzy, SG Enemy, SG Frenzy and SG Rumble could also be done. New characters would be awesome so Mercenary Soundblaster has a bunch of cassette minions. I’d even take recolors of Ratbat, Netflix Laserbeak, GS Knok and GS Skar as more minions for him.
MegaOmnitron
Besides Rumble/Frenzy as Enemy other SS86 cassettes should they be made have other potential uses. While I hope for a cartoon accurate Eject/Rewind in that line I actually want the current Legacy figure which is more toy accurate to be used as Rosanna and Flip Sides.

Those two do look good together. It's nice that Hasbro finally gave them to us, properly. Wherever you stand on *that* debate (and no, I'm not getting into it, nor am I bringing it up to do so), this is the first time Hasbro has officially given these two specific uses their "proper" naming. It's nice, honestly. (Before anyone says anything, yes, they've swapped the names once or twice before, but this is specifically G1 and honors/homages the original toon/movie which hasn't been done on an official level before.)
It's amazing how small they are, though. I can't believe how far we've come. I saw some G1 at my local collector shop and I had forgotten how small the Minibots were. Pretty much all of G1 (save for the city bots, Jetfire, et al) was smaller than I remembered.

Oh yeah Soundwave is my favorite character in transformers so I’d definitely rock with a core class Laserbeak if one were to happen. Thes core class frenzy and rumble have been some of the most exciting figures to me honestly
tjmd
This is who they are for me. Siege ones with toy colors to go with Soundblaster and SS86 cartoon colors for Soundwave.

Most of the time, using the MP as core design, most if not all the mainline releases for Legacy G1 are shrunk down slightly minute changes mini masterpieces. i wouldn't be surprised Steeljaw borrowing heavily from his MP incarnation.
Q Prime
I don't really see how they could do so, unless they'd only share like, the legs and tail. The head/torso transformation works very differently for each of them.

Ravage absolutely needs a do-over. The rest, I'll take em if they do them (and they're actually an improvement).

There's a leaked listing for core SS86 Steeljaw, hopefully this means an SS86 core Ravage might also be planned. It could be remolded from Steeljaw and different add-on weapons could be used for each!
