Courtesy of 2005 Boards member Actar, we can share for you our first in-hand images of the upcoming Transformers Studio Series SS-105 Deluxe Rise Of The Beasts Mirage.
This figure is part of Studio Series Wave 22 together with Nightbird. Mirage really shines in his licensed Porsche 911 Carrera mode, featuring a very nice finishing. As we had seen from the first stock images, robot mode has got a lot of kibble and now we learn that most of the figure is made of clear plastic.

Wasn't originally going to get him, but loved Noah so much I had to.

I meant it in a positive way! I'm happy for you!

Studio Series Mirage is better than you think he’ll be but still not as good as you’re hoping for.
The alt mode and transformation are fantastic. The robot mode is decent if you ignore the kibble, but the kibble is tough to ignore because it’s always in the way when you try to pose him. The headsculpt is stellar.

That figure would be a great base to retool into a proper Nightbeat / better Minerva.
Fenrys
You just described the mainline deluxe if it had a better paintjob and a non battle mask head

My first reaction to SS Mirage was hatred, but after a couple transformations I think he's great. Nothing falls off, he's complicated but everything works. I was a huge fan of the Alternators/Binaltech/Alternity, and he very much reminds me of those figures. I wish I still had some Alternity figs to display him with. I do hope a non lisensed more movie accurate version comes along, but for now I am very happy with Transformers: Legacy Evolution Alternators Universe Rise of the Beasts Mirage

I tried to watch that one, idk I just couldn't finish it, I loved their takes on each combaticon, but idk something didn't feel right and I stopped about halfway through cause I got bored

Mirage? Almost forgot this thread was about him!
…Anyway, solid figure, thought the kibble would throw me off but I actually don't mind it.

I mean yeah it's good but I can't comprehend how taken people are with it. On the note of youtube animated cartoons, but more transformers related, who watched Keyan Carlyle's Transformers:Combaticons?
Purple Heart
IKR? It’s been like two weeks and some people have made it their entire personality.

Least obvious hyper fixation

Ahh OK I understand now. The only thing that still confuses me is how the retailer loses out. If they put it back on the floor does it go for a lower price?
That's what I meant. Just sell it to another person. I don't think I articulated that correctly.
T-Hybrid
Man, I'm about to buy this guy but that seems like a lot of work. But it sorta shows why some of these guys are starting to get the backpacks they do. It's hard to simultaneously deliver clear plastic windows without needlessly inflating parts counts. And, even then, there'd be concerns about how to fold the canopy and windows out of view without introducing too many joints on those clear plastic panels.

If you buy a figure, take it out, mess with it, then return it….it goes back on the shelf as "Reopened" if it goes back on the shelf at all…at which point they don't get the full sale price of the figure.
So no. It's not okay. If you're going to get rid of it that quickly find a buyer locally like a fellow collector or a shop that buys toys.
TFXProtector
…no. What? No!
No, not okay. Someone is being deprived of that figure and they'll go elsewhere and spend more on it for no good reason because he's looking at one just to throw it haphazardly back in the box and take it back to the retailer.
Not kinda, just flat out is.
Right?!
…that's not how this works. That's not how any of this works. Sure, he can resell it, but then he loses money on it so he's lost out. He can take it back but the retailer loses out, which later on raises prices for you and me. No one really wins in this scenario. Please, PLEASE people, don't do this. Ever.
It's bad enough to return one item to another retailer for store credit (which is fraud and a crime, I might add), it's bad enough to swap figures, etc. This is just adding to the problem. Please, people, don't do this.
Denzimus
Really? I've never personally done it but I've always imagined at the least it'll probably go-to someone who can truly enjoy it after they've done. Besides that he could just sell it though I guess.

Eh, still kinda scummy
Denzimus
I know, I know but I'm just assuming as long as he keeps the figure in a good condition it'd be okay?
