Another Threezero Transformers reveal for tonight we have fully painted images of their upcoming Optimal Primal who goes up for preorder August 24 at 9pm EDT.

Standing at approximately 11.2″ (28.5 cm) tall, the Transformers: Rise of the Beasts DLX Optimus Primal collectible figure captures the essence of the iconic leader of the Maximals as he appears in the film. Transformers: Rise of the Beasts DLX Optimus Primal takes the honor of having the most points of articulation in the DLX collectible toy line with approximately 74 points of articulation! He contains various interlinking segments for the arm, leg, and body movements, this dynamic range of poseability allows you to recreate the epic moments and battle scenes from the movie. Designed with a die-cast metal frame that maximum levels of durability and stability. The detailed weathered paint application brings out his battle-worn appearance, showcasing the character’s resilience and determination.

Transformers: Rise of the Beasts DLX Optimus Primal features three interchangeable faces that allow you to showcase the changes across different modes, providing versatility in your display options. The LED-illuminated eyes (requires AG13 batteries x 2, batteries not included) bring figure to life.

Included with the figure are several accessories that enhance the play and display possibilities. Transformers: Rise of the Beasts DLX Optimus Primal comes with two Cyber Blades that can combine into a single weapon, along with a metallic chain to connect them. Additionally, PVC fur has been added to the shoulder armor, perfectly replicating the silhouette from the film.

I really hope that Scourge comes with that Unmasked
Ultron Head and an alternate non Claw Left Arm.

Since Primal comes with 3 Faces, with 1 not being
shown in the Movie (The Nostril one), I hope
maybe they can add Battle Mask for Mirage, like
the Studio Series Version.

Considering 3Z history of making movie characters with 3 secs of screentime just bcs they are iconic, what are the odds of 3Z making Cheetor and Rhinox? They are really iconic characters, I think this is enough to justify figures of them. What do you guys think?

Probably counting any part that articulates out of the way to accommodate range of movement.

But even then I'm sure rotf Optimus would have way more articulations than the tlk one

I really wanted to know what criteria they use. They also said tlk Optimus had 72 points of articulation but I never understood why, he has more or less the same amount as rotf Optimus for example

Assuming its true. More than likely the numbers before hand were just incorrect. That or they started counting the pistons as articulation points.

If that's the case, it is a bit odd to get the numbers incorrect. Who do they think they are, ShowZStore?

Primal's looking gorgeous~ LOVE that G1 face a lot, shame they didn't get to use that concept in the final film.
Not sure if I'd be able to buy him with my limited space and funds (reserving my cash for MPMs and [a couple] Bayverse trilogy MLDXs, RIP wallet :( )

Unfortunately this is one of those things that is 100% a director thing. As much as I enjoyed the movie, Caple jr from a VFX standpoint is probably a nightmare to deal with. You have to finalize designs before starting your movie’s post production yet he seemingly kept changing things and having VFX artists redoing models constantly. This sort of indecisiveness (along with an iffy VFX company) is what led to the CGI being of much lower quality.

Caple probably just couldn’t make up his mind on what models he wanted to be the final one.

Yeah, probably and I don’t get why. Transformers have pretty simple designs so why all of the indecisiveness? Just take their original designs and update them. Maybe you want to do something new like with Mirage but its not rocket science.

Regarding the mouth pieces, for some bizarre reason I thought we for sure saw the third mouth piece pictured below, in the movie. I thought the gorilla mouth piece that Threezero included was the odd one out but it's actually the opposite? We only see the gorilla mouth piece for 2 seconds and then never see the third one at all.

Was it some a concept art or something? Maybe I missed it in the movie. I just combed through the ending bit to see but didn't stumble upon it anywhere.

Yeah, despite it being there in the control art concept art, promo material and various figures, the Season 1 mouthplate is the one that doesn't appear onscreen :lol 

C'est la vie.
