Scalpers: Rare Nacelle with Exclusive MOLD! $$$!

Nice, thank you for sharing.

I got this info from my local TF expert (who's part of the vines across the resellers and providers) so his info has always been solid.
Cool Hand Lube
Ah, I have not seen any mention of that anywhere whatsoever, must have missed it.

Hasbro has sent return documentation to people that reached out to them about it, so Hasbro may recall unsold stock from resellers… I doubt that we'll ever see the results of testing and what this mold is or such.
It's more a question that those received might end up being the only ones available to people, so it's almost a case of "order now from where it's still available and hope it's sent quickly" as all resellers might end up having to cancel the orders. And the odds of Hasbro doing another run to replace the stock is almost nil.
Then again, if this mold is a health hazard, it becomes a "at your own risk"… anyone with a sealed copy should break that seal and check right away and deal with it if present.
Cool Hand Lube
They just canceled all the orders and refunded from what it looks like. I don't think anyone received one from Pulse (not that I've seen reported here and elsewhere, anyway), so no recall would be necessary.
imfallenangel
Pulse is now cancelling orders and may be doing a recall due to the mold from what I've heard… Btw.

Mercifully mold free after getting one from Amazon in lieu of the Pulse cancellation, he's a great looking toy with a great color scheme. I really do wish we'd gotten him as an Earthrise seeker with Thrust wings and a regular head, but it's still very awesome.

Joints on my copy are pretty nice and tight overall. Weapons peg in tightly. Only issue I had was with the back panel behind the robot head. The piece is made of a softer plastic and had some excess plastic that was preventing me from flipping the head all the away around and it didn’t peg into the back of head either. Shaved excess plastic down a bit and it can properly fold and peg into place. For visual, you can see the line of excess plastic that was preventing it to fold all the way (you can see where it would get stuck in the second pic)View attachment 30084026View attachment 30084027

Yeah, to echo what others have said, super easy fix with alcohol wipes or isopropyl/toothbrush or washcloth route. It's barely an inconvenience.
ziltama
Isopropyl alcohol and soft bristled toothbrush. Isolate the wing and wrap the rest of the figure in a thin towel to avoid inadvertent splashing. There's no paint on the wings for IPA to rub off.
Edit: I just realized this figure is factionless…why. Didn't have to be part of this whole pre-war thing.

Return to Amazon, buy another if you're willing to chance it. No reason you should have to deal with the mold at all, its their problem.

Well shoot, mine's got the mold too. Easiest fix, anyone?View attachment 30082517

That’s some A+ parenting right there.

I cancelled my Nacelle order after seeing that Pravus’s mold infestation issue isn’t just an isolated incident. I don’t need it enough to risk some unknown spores in my house when my kids have allergy and asthma issues.

We have all figures from the mold so far, except for Premium Finish. Didn't notice any paint discrepancies on the thighs on our copy. The red looks slightly brighter on the null rays although that's because the base plastic is white on those.
Overall, Nacelle is one of the better figures in terms of QC (1st run Starscream being absolute worst), if not the best one yet. Only thing I noticed was a mild version of the ankle tilt issue on the right, which is remedied by wearing in the joint (taking apart the lower leg helps to speed this up).
Of course, would have preferred the Ramjet redeco despite being cartoon accurate as a Tetrajet.

Nacelle arrived very early yesterday, but I didn't have a chance to open it until later. First, the odd. The left wing (in robot mode) had an almost mold like white spots on it; a few were little blobs tacky to the touch. I'm guessing it's mold release agent, but a damp paper towel took them all off without any trouble.
This may be the tightest of the Siege seekers I have. Across the board, every single POA are all very tight. So much so it made me question if I even remembered how to transform the seeker! The light piping really stands out, which I wasn't expecting. The vibrant and different color scheme really helps him stand out against the others. So in that regards, I'm pleased.
Though in four years, Nacelle beating Sunstorm and Bitstream to fans hands still seems wrong.

I posted this in the Amazon thread as well…
I picked up Nacelle today. It's quite ridiculous I am still paying a premium for this mold in 2023. The seeker mold is one of my favorites but I feel a little disappointed. The tightness of the joints is a bit inconsistent throughout the figure and some joints feel choppy. Then there is the discrepancy in the red paint on the thighs. One thigh has a more matte finish, the other a semi-gloss finish. It's not too obvious and its not something I cannot correct on my own.
How are the joints and paint on everyone's copy?
Edited to add: as @artiepants said, it looks and feels like a KO.
