Interesting discrepancy with SG Sideswipe here:

I certainly hope that the official pics with the dark head and dark eyeliner are what we see in the final retail release, rather than the light head and light eyeliner seen in the booth pics.

I gotta be honest I prefer the white helmet with the dark gray face. Either way I just pre-ordered it.

today at 2pm PST on Pulse for the SG Set. August 1st for the Stunticons.

Did it ever pop up on Pulse? 2pm came and went and now it's 3 days post con with still no sign of it

Motormaster yellows? I\'ve had my Menasor on display without dusting for quite some time now and dont notice anything. What yellows? The white paint? This box set probably coulda been an opportunity for them to include a better sword lol

Some of the grey plastic on the trailer can yellow. I think it didn’t effect too many batches this time around.

I think you're misunderstanding the point of the post that you quoted.
It's not that those issues are in dispute, it's that the person he was responding to has been CONSTANTLY name-dropping their own terminology for those issues for years now, I guess trying to coin the phrase and get the fandom to adopt it.

Oh I know, but I was just clarifying we've all dealt with QC issues with toys and no amount of whining is going to fix the extant ones; we just have to hope they're addressed in the future.

And let's be real, yellowing and hollow plastic are far less serious than GPS was. Toys potentially worth a lot of dough ruined by a poor plastic mixing process.

My Motormaster doesn't have yellowing, unlike my SG Starscream and Kingdom Tigatron. I'm guessing they either found a solution a ways into Legacy and some batches have it while others don't or they used a different plastic.

Also, hollow bits have been part of TFs for years. Hasbro at least seems to understand people aren't fans and relegates it to parts of the toys that won't be as…annoying to see it on (mostly forearms and upper thighs).

Menasor set looks really amazing!

Hope this version is not affected by the last version of the cheap hollow plastic syndrome, yellowing. Commander Motormaster is as very disappointing figure, a great idea ruined by Hasbro’s CHPS. It was really hard to find a Motormaster that wasn’t yellow out of the box or not affected by other QC issues.

I agree with people who said that the Menasor box set should've had the toy-accurate heads. I would've absolutely loved that. It's definitely interesting that they gave Breakdown a new head, but not anyone else. But overall I still can't wait to get that set. I only have the normal Motormaster and Dragstrip so far, but every single version of the Stunticons will be on the top of my list of figures I want.
