concept mirage and final mirage is such a drastic change. every single concept for mirage is just hidious and then the final one is so good. the change is like knight and bay

This is a problem I have with Mirage’s design in the final film. His final body is so greebly and lacks smooth, solid armour panels, and his legs are very square. He doesn’t look youthful or sleek, and honestly his body has the level of detail and exposed workings you’d expect from a character meant to look older and less advanced.

Nightbird's original car is around 1999. Optimus Prime was going to be a truck that dates to 2008. Maybe they really were going to set it later?
At the same time, the early information in like 2021 said 1992 rather than 1994. Conspiracy goes everywhere.
GAUGE
I saw the movie last night with the wife.
I actually didn't mind the powermaster type suit.
The mirage concept art there ended up looking sooo much like it.
I'd honestly like to see a legit figure made out of it.
after the GI Joe scene, it finally clicked that that suit reminded me of the Power suit Duke wore in the GI Joe movie.

I think I get what you're saying, but that's not my point. What I mean is, if you look at a Porsche or any sports car really, you'll probably think of a cool looking robot. That Mirage concept art that looks like Kup just doesn't reflect the car at all imo

Who will have notice details in movie begin with if they kept them on car
transformers aliens concept artist does not think g1 fan does Porsche it automatically should be called jazz but cartoon series armada wheeljack was warrior took side with decpeticons good thing about concept artists they don’t stay with cartoons they think take car parts design from feet up regardless who and who may not look like in movie who it close resembles a n g1 cartoon or different character in armada series.,

I know these are just concept arts but I just don't understand how the artist was given a Porsche but then designed a Kup looking head for it. No hate to the artist, but the idea just baffles me. It's like being given a Ferrari to design Dino, and then giving him Que's head.

Oh that’s interesting. At one point Scourge was gonna be a Mercenary judging by his mask here

Also pretty glad they didn’t keep these decals on Nightbird in V-mode, seeing as Import and Drifting Culture wasn’t really popular for the next decade or so in America.

Which now that I’m thinking about it makes me wonder if the time setting of the movie was different in earlier versions of the movie… hmmm… to the conspiracy board?

Some of these concepts might be not be great, but the artwork isn’t terrible. Concept art is just visual brainstorming for the most part anyway, though I doubt that will fit your little narrative about how the movie was bad.

That sounds awfully like your saying it objectively.
I must say, that one mirage design would make a good jazz, or some other bots. I like it. I like how the other has some nice kicks and a racing helmet, fitting for the character
VVa
Not even sure how.
Drakuatron
Those first few Mirage concepts look like they were trying to code Mirage as a 80s-90s Black stereotype. I don\'t know why, but that\'s the vibe I get from it.

You truly are a pest of society. Hopefully you speak your mind less.
HAZARDZONE
I'm going to have to ask you to stop malding
HAZARDZONE
Maybe that's why they weren't used

Some truly terrible art work. Hopefully since this bombed we can finally move back to a good style.

The concept body for Mirage with the grey background looks tremendously better than his final body in the film, but all of those heads look terrible. I’m beyond thankful they went with the head design he has in the film.

So when is this coming to dvd?
