Some images have surfaced via Baidu which show some Masterpiece MP-44 Optimus Prime Toy Deco & MP-56 Diaclone Yellow Trailbreaker redecos.
We suggest to take this with a grain of salt until we get an official confirmation. We have very small images which show the MP-44 mold now in G1 toy deco plus a yellow Masterpiece MP-56 Trailbreaker redeco which seems to be inspired by the Diaclone No.5 Car Robot Hilux 4WD yellow variant. It seems to come with a force field effect and a double-missile accessory.

I might like this variant more than the standard figure to be honest.

If an image is CG, TakaraTomy always includes a disclaimer. That’s the quickest way to tell.

They're getting good with them that's for sure! Sometimes I can't tell myself and you end up psyching yourself out. For example, MPG06 Kaen uses an actual prototype unlike any MP in recent years.View attachment 30102881

Well… I have to admit. I only really scrutinized the front on first image. The angled second image I made some assumptions. Looking at it now. The pins on the second image are too clean and the panel breaks on the pelvis are too perfect.
But, the "color" and "material" of both the first image which I'm confident is a photo (very likely touched up in photoshop/illustrators) and the second image are pretty much identical. It's a good render.

Absolutely correct on the first image. That’s a real physical figure. Second image (like the vast majority of MP promo images in recent years) is CG. It says so in the picture as well, in Japanese.
The CG disclaimer is only on images that are actually CG, not on photoshopped physical items. They’d simply have the “actual product may vary” disclaimer.

The two pics in the post you quoted – top is the real prototype, bottom is cg. That top one is the only real pic of 44S they have put out. All the rest are cg renders. They are definitely not recycled OG 44 promo pics photoshopped!
They've been doing CG renders for MP, and MPG, since 55 Nightbird. They are astonishingly good and can be hard to tell they are renders – i remember people not believing it at first when i pointed it out on Nightbird, until some clever clogs translated the Japanese text that literally tells us when they use CG. They have all the hardware and yes, even the ends of the pins look cut. Only the too perfect geometry and alignment give them away, or occasionally colour and clipping errors – MPG Shouki had loads of that. The 44S renders actually look a bit sub par compared to usual – some materials/surfaces aren't very convincing and easier to tell they are CG.

They're CG. The minimal gaps and chrome being clearly textured is a clue.

They're the same photos from mp-44 , just shopped colors. Often they're a real prototype or figure, either cleaned up or repainted and get the CG disclaimer.

99.9999% confident thise images are photography and not CG. I deal with this stuff all day for the last 25 years. There are certain traits that are tells for CG. Even the best… Being able to see the lighting lamp they used for the photo in the chrome of the grill is a dead givaway that it is a photo. Also they tend to leave out the pins and other hardware. The pins here show inperfections from physical cutting. Lastly, consumer product CG renders of action figures are nearly always symetrical and this one isn't. No one is going to go that crazy on a CP render that they have maybe a few hours to complete. But whatever.
Your point is taken that the promotional images often don't look like the actual products

Skywarp wasn't even shown at a toy show lmao he was a straight different colour!
jackisking
MP-49, is probably the best example, but you could also say MP Skywarp2.0.

We'll see it in hand before release, almost always happens. Trailbreaker, all the trainbots, black Leo prime as well. Only one who didn't was iirc diaburnout

That's part of my disappointment right niw. Normally they start with the CG and then shiw an actual sample, this time they start off with the sample and switch to CG. They havent seemed to show any interest to showing it at events, so it probably wont be till these are actually mailed out in Japan, when we'll know what exactly we're getting.

The stock photos are CGI renders. I don't know how I feel about takara switching to them since MP52 because it's a little misleading at worst. MPM still uses real photos but they often paint them way more than the actual product.View attachment 30100519 View attachment 30100520

Im bothered to no end between the difference of the advert and stock photos. Its such a big difference in the saturation of the colors. Im also wondering if his seals will include some blue eyes. I dont really want to paint his eyes, but until a reissue comes along, he's going to be my toon Optimus.
Onilink
They have a sort of sensitivity that lacks on the 3P side, wonder if they are on this board

I was actually considering what if they did drop a new toy Optimus MP this year. They pay too much attention to minor details to just punt on a toy head.
Afterburner
I'm guessing missing link now explains why they didn't get as toy accurate with this as Megatron.
RichP
WHAT!! Can't wait!! If this is a toy accurate head sculpt like seems to look, I'm so ready. Take my money!

It’s coming
