With Transformers: Rise Of The Beasts still on theaters, several artists have started to share some interesting concept art and previous material of the movie. We have collected some of them for you to check them our in just one place.
- Transformers: Rise Of The Beasts Freezer By Shane Baxley – 360 turnaround video showing off the small but lethal Terrorcon. The artist mentioned he will be sharing his variations of the character soon too.
- Transformers: Rise Of The Beasts Scourge Alt Mode Concept Art By Shane Baxley – Closer look at the Scourge’s menacing alt mode filled with energy and inner lighting.
- Transformers: Rise Of The Beasts Maximals, beast modes By Furio Tedeschi – Full body concept art of Optimus Primal, Cheetor, Rhinox and Airazor beast modes in all their glory. According to his Instagram post, he “Tried as much as possible to keep essence of the OG characters I loved as a kid”.
- Transformers: Rise Of The Beasts Rhinox, robot mode By Furio Tedeschi – Full body concept art of Rhinox in robot mode. One of the images show him with an “energy gauntlet”. According to the artist “took a lot from old beastwars cartoon design.”
- Transformers: Rise of the Beasts – Previs Optimization/Texturing By Kimberly MacNeil – We have a nice amount of concept art and previs models and sequences of Wheeljack, Nightbird, Scorponok, Bumblebee, Optimus Primal (don’t miss an early gorilla render with dreads!) and some background texturing and 3D modeling.

No I got you the first time. Maybe it wouldn’t look bad but it would piss off fans and be a disgrace to bringing that character to live action when so much lore and identity is established.
If it’s a new character go wild and be creative (like animated Lockdown). But if it’s a well established character finally coming to live action you better do then proper Justice. BB cybertron Wheeljack for example looked perfect, a new version but everybody can tell who it is. ROTB VW van one was a name slap and a fail.

My pic of Sektor was meant to reflect that an Iron Man type of look with dreads looks pretty cool, meaning that an MCU Iron armor with dreads wouldn't be so bad.
Context and reading comprehension matter.

Yes it looks great on a mortal Kombat character who is supposed to have that look. Not on Optimus primal who already has a well defined look.
You don't need to poison transformers with random influence. They already have very cool and very distinct designs.

So it’s important to point out that this is a pre-visualization model. Those are made so they can make CG mock ups for scenes, and are usually hastly made from pre-existing assets and are never meant to be indicitive of the final model.
Case and point, that Wheeljack is clearly made from a Bumblebee model.
