Newage Toys, via their Weibo account, have shared images of the color prototype of their H47P Sling Blade (Legends Scale G1-Style Bulkhead).

This is a G1-style rendition of Transformers Prime Bulkhead using a retooled version of Newage H46 Backdraft (Legends Scale G1 Inferno). This design is pretty similar in concept with X-Transbots Bullwark. H47P Sling Blade comes with a battle maze.

I like the robot mode on it. The head is small enough that I don't even notice the odd sculpt on it. Just looks like regular bulkhead when it's not a macro shot. However, for alt mode, I don't like the transition area between the cab and the trailer section. I was hoping it would do that thing where it looks way better in hand, but I still just don't like the way it looks. They have those little flaps from the trailer part that cover the gray parts of the arm. I wish they had extended it down more to cover the grey hips too. It seems minor, but it really sticks out to me and makes the alt mode look weird.

I much prefer the MP scale, but XTB once again laid an egg with their MP Bulkhead, so like it or not, I'll have to go with NewAge.

what’s disappointing about grapple? i quite enjoy him.

nothing with respect to grapple specifically, more generally the direction in which NA went with the mold.

Newage H46 Backdraft (Inferno) & H47 Grapple

just think they should have made them a tad bigger as i feel they are too small in scale, and i dislike seeing the two round circles behind the clear plastic windshield.

since bulkhead won't be put together with my main group collection, i think i won't be as nit-picky about the scale and i'm glad they darkened the windshield on it.

i don't know how NA does it. i'm not keen on this mold after my disappointment with getting grapple. but yet here i am prepared to buy this and anxious to get this in hand. :p

Would have been cool if they styled the packaging like TFA's boxes, like how they did Barricade in 07-ish looking packaging.

I\'m so glad I don\'t buy this scale lol the prices they ask for this stuff I can get mps or really good ko mp tfs or even 3p stuff way bigger then this for the prices overall.

Please tell me where you’re buying good MP scaled bots for $50. I’d love to shop there.

Also 80% of complaints with the headsculpt could be solved if they just painted the chinstrap green like animated.

it isn't the ladder that bothered me, but seeing the round "boob" connectors they designed the windshield with. :p
