Once again we have another toy news from China. This time, the licensed characters are for G1 and Transformers: Rise of the Beasts.

Despite the slightly super-deformed look, the characters are very well-detailed with a good range of posablity. Each figure also comes with swappable hands and various accessories. Some even has glowing eyes.

Wow, with shipping, the Prime/Primal 2 pack (which is coming in stock at bombusbee now) is almost $60! Wayyyyy more than I wanted to pay. WTF.

I think Starscream and Grimlock have been confirmed. Soundwave and Bumblebee are probably guaranteed to come eventually. I'd love to see:

I suppose these illustrate what modern day G1 actionmasters would look like….and surprisingly, I dont think Iike it as much as I thought I would.

The proportions just seem like that of a 8 year old child.

So Starscream and Grimlock are confirmed for wave 2 right? I'm thinking Soundwave will probably be in hopefully. More of the cars would be great too- Sunstreaker, Sideswipe, Mirage, Hound, etc.

Mainly more mould mates? Wave 1 was Seekers, Nissan vans, Datsuns (faked Porsche Jazz). And then Prime and Megatron.

Wave 2 I'll guess will be at least one more Seeker (Starscream) and then Lambos like Red Alert and Sideswipe? They'll change up the chest enough to get Sunstreaker in there too. Hound and Mirage will require new chest sculpts but will likely be in Wave 2 or Wave 3. Trailbreaker and Hoist will be nearly the same with a different back-piece for Hoist? I wouldn't be shocked if Cliffjumper and Bumblebee are straight repaints. Grimlock is going to be another pretty unique sculpt and I'm trying to think who else could be repainted from it. Toss in another Dinobot like Sludge or Snarl and call it close enough for robot mode?

They haven't shown them off yet, so my guess is that Wave 2 will include "Coming Soon … Soundwave & Bumblebee" on the box flaps.

Wonder if they'll try to make minibots and Rumble/Frenzy as shorter versions? There is very little difference in height, but I could see leaving out the thigh and upper arm to make less articulated and shorter bots. They did make the Seeker legs a little longer so they'd be taller than the cars.

If anybody wants any of the G1 wave 1 characters (minus Optimus) I’m looking to sell mine. They’re already assembled
