And with only 3 days before the official premiere of Transformers: Rise Of The Beasts, the official Paramount Picture YouTube channel have just uploaded a “Final Trailer” clip.
This new 1:25 minute video features several seconds of new footage and scenes plus some on-screen positive critics. Not much left to say, so watch the video below which contains spoilers. Let us know your impressions on the 2005 Boards!

After seeing the movie, I went back and watched some of the trailers and TV spots that I had been avoiding. All I can say is I'm REALLY glad I went through the effort to minimize my exposure to new footage, as it's insane how much of the movie they showed before release! Way, way too much. Even the main trailers spoiled a couple things that would have been much better saved for the movie.

Oh. Whoops.

…Steven Caple Jr. Dave Chappelle is a comedian.
Anyway, your assessment is about what I expected of it. Glad I have a free pass to see this one.

Just came back from watching ROTB.
All I can say is… Wow!
Spoiler free summary and thoughts:
Action packed AF. But it's trying to be a mash up movie leading to inconsistencies in the plot. The Transformers movies will unfortunately be forever linked to the Bayverse style of filmmaking. Not to say it's terrible, but all that matters it's stands on its own and it was a blast from start to finish. The end credits scene was kinda sus, but I'd give ROTB and especially STEVE Caple Jr. big props for bringing a new storyline and Beast Wars characters to this new series. 6.8 out if 10.

Humans in Transformers aren't inherently bad. Bee Movie got it right.
Also, Spiderverse's scenes in at the Spider Society are a great model for how you'd do a Cybertronian film. Small central cast of bots with a few smaller supporting roles and then just cram it full of cameos.
Not everyone needs a plot arc.

So apparently, from the sounds of it, it seems like the Transformers are actually getting more screen time than the humans themselves. And yet this guy just complains that there's not enough human presence in the movie, even though one of the major complaints from past movies was too much screentime dedicated to humans. What the hell was this guy smoking when he reviewed this movie?

My friend, whom I duped into watching that delightful *War for Cybertron* animated series, used to hold fast to the value of Rotten Tomatoes.
After seeing how high a grade that poorly polished turd got, he was shattered, but he's learned to distrust such things. This actually is the way.

"Anythony?"

Yup. Something something bias

I'm so hyped to see this already. I don't need anymore marketing.

Okay, first of all? Calm your ass down.
Second? Don't call people stupid for using RT as many people can be fooled by it when there are legitimate big name critics on there, just because you disagree with their opinions.
And I never said I agreed with them, I do worry the movie won't be any better than Bayverse when they're all rated the same (roughly) and they *do* suck and Bumblebee didn't and it was widely praised. Still doesn't mean they're right but it's enough to cause people to be cautious. There's nothing wrong with that and shame on you if you're trying to say otherwise.
Bingo! And admittedly, the critics can get it wrong and have. Steven Soderbergh's Haywire is a prime example of them getting it wrong. The audience absolutely HATED it while they loved it. It was a borefest mixed with random and oddly relentless violent scenes strewn about at times in a less than mediocre flick but they lost their mental loads over it. But while they're not always right, they're not always wrong, either. At least, not 100% of them. (A case where they were absolutely correct? Batman Begins. It did kind of bad at the box office but they pretty much loved it, so did the audience and it was greenlit for the sequels.)
Simple is best for a lot of people, it's a shame but I mean look at how many have gotten lazy around here and say TL;DR to any post that requires more than 30 seconds of reading… That said, a rating number can surprise you and that's part of RT's schtick. Whether we agree with or not.
In all fairness to him, you can thank Bay for that. 5 movies of nothing but human drama, based on an origin movie where the title characters didn't show up until 58 minutes into their own titled film, and the rest weren't exactly winners in the robot department. Humans always took the main stage in these films, so seeing one after all this time where they're finally the main focus has to be somewhat confusing. Doesn't mean I agree with him, I think he's being unreasonable, but I can certainly understand why he wouldn't connect with the 7th film after 5 of them were human-centric. Again, Bay's fault.
This. This is why I made my original post in here. Everything I had seen thus far had been overwhelmingly positive, so when I saw the score it shocked me.
Yeah, because that makes us right.
Some do, most don't. Heck, I've watched movies in spite of them. Some they were right on, a lot they were wrong on. ROTB could be fantastic, I won't know until I watch it this weekend, but I won't be surprised if it's not. I'm used to that.
He's far from the only one who's been horrible at this.
Bingo.

Man, there's a lot of cope going on in here.
Probably wouldn't be different at all because this is a cherry-picked review that specifically says this. The other reviews don't really say this. This critic, Roger Moore, is famously known to dislike most movies in this category. He also reviewed Spiderverse 2 negatively. This was expected.

Imma watch it TONIGHT.

Chances are he's just a paid hack looking for a quick buck. Meh

The same can be said for a Godzilla movie. For example, the Legendary movies so far have been amazing, but '14 was a rough start since it had way too much focus on the human characters, and they weren't even good human characters. Cranston's character was great, but got killed off halfway through. 5 years later, King of the Monsters was praised for its monster action and barely any focus on the humans, but that's why the Critics despised it. Skull Island and GvK were pretty perfect mixes of monster and human action tho, so here's hoping The New Empire continues the trend.
