Cang Toys Weibo have shared images of the gray prototype of their new CT-Longyan 01 Stegsarow (Masterpiece Scale Snarl) .
This is Cang Toys highly stylized take on the G1 Dinobots similar to the style they used with their Thunderking/Predaking combiner and Predacons. CT-Longyan 01 Stegsarow is a new version of the classic G1 Snarl in a very modern rendition plus the ability to form Volcanicus. We have a look at the robot and dino mode which features and articulated tail that can be used a a sword or arrow.

I thought they squashed that debate long ago.

I think you mean 'rail bug', as they lost the name insectrain in an intense legal battle
The Illustrator
Heck yeah! Now I shall wait, like some vast, predatory insect… train?
TheLastPrime2893
Speaking of which, I did message the company who was responsible for making it happen a while back and the response I got was, "please wait patiently." So I'm guessing that the project is still pretty much alive for Insectitron or whatever they were gonna call it..
That's just it. It's a leg with no foot. Unless the foot will come with the leg, which that part is still unknown as of right now. Then we just have a footless leg. (The thought of that just terrified the living daylights out of me)..
The Illustrator
Whaddya mean? Insectrain is perfectly relevant.

Plus I think 90 of those pages is about completely unrelated combiners

Once you get to 1000 pages they will show you the left combiner leg
TheLastPrime2893
Not much can be done until I'm able to get the pics from Cang themselves..
BIOMEC
I guess they would add more paint, diecast, a more streamlined silhouette, I think the engineering was already there…
Requiem Prime
That's good to know, I really loved Poseidon, limitations aside, and lived for the add-on allowing the whole to team to become an artillery line. It really was a high point in the pre-MP scale combiners.
If they were going to do him again, they'd have to do something new to really top him.
Thalyn
Please no. Thunderking's feet were already compromised by trying to have them still have three forms at the reduced size, I'd hate to see the mess that would result from trying to manage four (or five if they insist on Scramble City) even on the larger figures.
Destron1
100 pages, and yet to see an actual product.

I would love it more if they go nuts and gave us vehicle modes for their Piranacon components, like Dancouga with their beast/vehicle/bot modes.
TheLastPrime2893
Maybe similar, but probably a bit scarier than TFC Toys' version, given their style choice. Definitely scarier lol
Abominus & Comp would be right up their alley, especially Abominus. The stylization on that would be insane! While UT's Ordin is closer to G1, a CT Sinnertwin & Hun-Grrr would take the cake, given how terrifying they would look..
BIOMEC
Most likely their version of Piranacon will look pretty similar to TFC's Poseidon, since "they" designed it for TFC

I much rather Cang do a Abomiuns instead of Prianacon. Followed by Computron. I think they do such a fantastic job with those two. Not to say they wouldnt for Prianacon. But if they did Prianacon, I would probably buy it to replace my tfc version.
Creegor
I think this is the most likely outcome. I personally would LIKE the targetmaster aspect to stay, even if there’s no scramble city (which would probably be better anyhow), but with how stylized the Dinobots are looking (I mean, come on, the Longyan guys moreso resemble original characters that REFERENCE the dinobots than versions of the original design at this point!) I wouldn’t be surprised. Either way, I’m on board!

Keep the gun modes and make a 7th giant crab for the pants.
Dodgy Dan
Poseidon is the last remaining CHUG combiner I own, purely because I friggin' love the wobbly little bastard. Can't bear to get rid of the only decent version of my favourite combiner.
Anyway, if Cang do tackle Piranacon (pleaaaaaase make it so), they'll probably ditch the scramble city and target master aspect and just go for incorporating all six members into the core bot. It seems to be their style, and they can certainly pull it off.
Cang Seacons would be so bloody awesome….

If those turned into realistic vehicle modes, I would not be able to resist. It would be a kind of no matter the cost sort of thing if I had the disposable income. I would burn my whole fun budget on that thing.
