Well, it’s official now.
Transformers: Rise of the Beasts is finally rated and its theatrical running time is locked.
Rated PG-13 (unsurprisingly), the movie is classified for intense sequences of sci-fi action and violence, and language.
Meanwhile, folks across the pond opted for their usual 12A rating for moderate action violence, threat, and language.
The finalized movie running time now stands at 126 Minutes and 57 Seconds.

Bay was never really about verbal sexual innuendos though, if anything that's more of a Beast Wars thing. Bay is more like "Here's a robot peeing on a guy heh heh heh and here's a robot humping someone's leg heh heh heh and here's a robot with testicles heh heh heh".

Fair point but for like 10 years now gross crude humor that is thematically irrelevant and unnecessary has been associated to the franchise as a whole for like a decade because of the movies. Let’s not forget that the transformers farted and shit and had literal dicks and balls. Shrek is basically a parody of family friendly fairytales, so the crude humor actually makes sense within the context, especially since you follow just some ogre, but in transformers, a lot of the time the humor was never appropriate or fitting.

I think the concern is the bay humor was so egregious and unfunny and uncomfortable and so frequent and consistent in his films that transformers farting explosions and having literal dicks is unfortunately what\'s associated heavily to the franchise, and people just don\'t want to go back there. Not only does it not look good for the franchise, it just wasn\'t funny and if they did something similar the movie could easily be written off as just another dumb transformers movie. (Even tho that\'s what it is, it\'s not dumb for that reason)

I’ve heard people go left and right on the legitness but hate me…but I want it to be true I’d be laughing genuinely if the nerd type was that confident in his wording around a girl trope was used

Bay has done such severe damage to live action transformers that one harmless “fly over a kid’s head” joke has everyone panicking and thinking we’re back to Bayverse levels of crude sexual humor. Smh. Might I remind everyone that several family films, like Shrek (all of them) have various adult jokes and they work just fine. It’s there to give the adults in the room a laugh without relying on child friendly humor that’s already prevalent throughout the film anyway.

one brief joke has people up in arms? did they forget that beast wars had crude humor/innuendo as well?
Mudslide
People would still bitch and moan.

When I was asking about it being more like Bumblebee and less like TLK or AoE I was thinking more along scariness and not vulgarity. I can handle explaining to him rude jokes, but watching a guy turn into a metal statue or walking tightropes with vicious robotic wolves chasing the hero, all on a massive screen in glorious surround sound may be a bit much.
I remember going to see the first live action Scooby Doo, and within 5 minutes a dad had to leave with his crying kid. I do NOT want that to be me.

I had forgotten all about those scenes until I was watching it with my youngest. We gave each other a look and then just kept watching. Meanwhile, in my head I kept thinking "why is it taking so long to get to Devastator?"
RazorX3000
Man, it’s one brief joke made by Wheeljack about how it’s been a while since Arcee was last inside of him. One brief joke. That’s it. Relax, everyone lmao.
War Horse
So I suppose they will be avoiding using the word "fuck" on screen too?

Alright everyone, thankfully we've been promptly warned about over 2 hours of vapid, abstract brand squeezing. No excuse now!

My kids are 5 and 7, I'm sure they'll be able to watch the Bay movies by 12 but right now they'll bring up questions I'm not ready for yet

Thank you very much. Corrected.
Now I'm so confused how I copied that.
TheLastPrime11
Right, I've seen fans complain about arm canons.

MPA's official weekly bulletin makes no mention of "sexual content." This was from their website, filmratings.com.
DeathsTreads77
That would be a fun time. Robot-human violence on another level
Mugenlazlo
What if they made and R-rated Transformers movie?
DeathsTreads77
I'm the guy who actually enjoys tlk. I'll be fine
