First Look At Transformers: Rise Of The Beasts Mainline Beast Battle Master Airazor

Courtesy of 2005 Boards member Hisbrawlers we can share for your our first look at a new Transformers: Rise Of The Beasts Mainline Beast Battle Master Airazor figure.

The toy was found at Siam Paragon, Thailand and, like other previous Beast Battle Masters toys, it’s a beast which transforms into a weapon. Airazor transforms into a bow/gun for other figures with 5 mm ports.

Do we have any info on this yet stateside?

That's what I'd like to know… haven’t even seen an ebay listing for her. I'm starting to think she's going to show up at discount stores if/when they get the overstock of the rest of the battle masters.

I ended up getting Skullcruncher specifically because he functionally IS Gatoraider and I needed one for a custom Krok figure I'm planning.
I got Rhinox because of the gatling-butt alt mode being so hilariously ridiculous.
And if the joke ever gets old and wears out, I can probably salvage the gun barrels for use in a custom figure later down the line.

I hope Airazor comes out in the US, as well as Lions blade Prime. I think I have one of each mold of the beast battlemasters so far. It's worth getting Scorponok and Sandspear, both are good.

(Does this count as inappropriate? Is to more suggestive than G1 Megatron or G1 Fort Max?)

Arrowstripe may have limited articulation, but he doesn't have kibble sitting below the 5mm peg in weapon mode. Easily mounts pretty much anywhere on any size figure.

They all fit anywhere you like:

I have managed to mount rhinox to the back and forearms of bots as well, beyond the fists you claim, but he's such an imposing getting gun… that he NEEDS to be hand-held. ;)

A little superglue fixes the gun barrel issue. Not sure why Hasbro didn't glue that in the first place.

I'd argue Rhinox is the weakest of the group, as the rhino feet limit usability on larger toys / non-hand mounting locations.

Cheetor on the other hand makes an awesome arm-mounted blade. I picked up 2 for Legacy Leo Prime. Much more imposing than the standard claws!

Yes hello I have nothing better to do with my time

1) Skullcruncher – He's just a derpy lil boi. Cool cannon mode, great beast mode, and his mouth opens so he can monch. 10/10.
2) Primal – monke cannon. A bit boxy, but he looks great in both modes, especially when held by another Primal. Only downside to me is he doesn't seem to work with blast effects. 8/10
3) Chainclaw – chainsaw. Good possibility, neat weapon mode. A bit unwieldy, but he makes for a good arm-mounted melee weapon. 7/10
4) Cheetor – same as Chainclaw, but slightly less interesting because he's not a chainsaw. The front paws being on ball joints bother me. 6/10
5) – Rhinox – a nice solid lil rhino, but the weapon mode isn't the best. His ass makes him hard to hold, and the gatling gun itself likes to fall off on mine. 4/10

Best: Skullcruncher. Crocodile form is good except for the huge pole sticking out of the back of his tail. Also my favourite because he is (apparently) an intentional homage to Gatoraider from the G1 Action Master series.

Worst: Arrowstripe. I mean, idk what that weapon mode is supposed to be. Yeah it's a crossbow, but… yeah. just yeah. White tiger mode is nice looking at least.

I don't have the others lol, but Rhinox and Primal and Airazor look great, Cheetor looks kinda shit imo

That's a cute bird. I've been semi-interested in all these Battle Masters, don't really collect movie or beasts, but they still look great. If there's anyone with the rest of the Beast Masters who is bored enough to rank them in terms of personal favorites and quote me so I see it, I'd appreciate it.

Personally:

1. Optimus Gun, good in both modes
2. Skullcruncher, good in both modes but kinda iffy that his handle sticks out in beast mode
3. Chainclaw, good in wolf mode, mediocre to good in chainclaw mode
4. Cheetah, good in beast mode, claw mode is good but a little awkward at angle
5. Rhino, good in beast mode and gun mode, sadly still haven't got him yet
6. Scorponok, good in beast mode, spear mode needs more spear and less scorpion
7. Tiger, good in beast mode, bow mode makes you feel sorry for little fella. Won't buy unless on discount.
