Takara Tomy will be producing a transformable version of the concept Toyota / JAXA Luna Cruiser. This is a planned pressurized vehicle designed to carry humans on the moon. The toy version is Lunar Cruiser Prime, and is pretty much what you think it is. Vehicle mode, pretty spot on version of the concept lander, robot mode – Optimus Prime! Lots of red/gray/blue present with the white rover parts mixed in.
While the entire page is in Japanese, we believe this will be available for general retail sales in Japan eventually. If you order via the Japanese site Camp-fire.jp now though, you will get it in hand a bit earlier, and it will come with some bonus items. We believe that is a special MP scale display stand. Read on for pics and translated text!

Probably because Pulse is doing a "Order as many as people order." Pulse then orders whatever that amount once the deadline has passed. Meanwhile BBTS and other retailers have a certain stock amount they're getting and you order until it sells out.
Requiem Prime
I'm looking forward to this guy. A very different Optimus. I'm thinking post war, he's passed on leadership to somebody, and has been chilling. Just watching the humans try to expand their horizons without help. Until he's called back.
Mercutio
If there's literally anything else you want from Hasbro, you could add it to your order to bring it over the free shipping threshold. Pulse usually lets me pre-order stuff at the same time in a single order, even if they release months apart.
SunSwipe5
Well, I wasn't going to buy anymore Optimi, but this guy is way too freaking cool looking to pass up.
After this guy, I am retiring from any and all Optimi.
Masktique
Same, I would have preferred a more cohesive deco instead of forcing the classic red-and-blue. Still very much interested in getting this, though, but robot mode could have had better colors for sure.
GAUGE
I just wish all the red and blue parts were White.
Or they better matched the Bot Mode's colors to their Space Suits.

Sweet, got it PO'ed on AJ!

Think 20% is it, that's what amiami had. This is one of the cases if you're only ordering one item its pretty much even with domestic sellers minus the wait.

Anyone who checked out on Amazon Japan came out to about $85? I've got it in the cart and am getting $86.64 including I assume my local taxes. Seems like I've pushed the cart right up until finalizing the order.
Hasbro Pulse is $74.99 with free shipping over $75. I checked and they won't round up so +$6.99 shipping unless I renew my Pulse Premium early. Was trying to hold out until Pulsecon. $81.98+ my local taxes or $74.99 +tax if I renew early (About $80.60).
So do I take a gamble that a non-Masterpiece figure will get the -30% and Amazon Japan will be the winner, or do I try to wait things out until September 8th and then renew Pulse Premium a few weeks early?
If I assume a -20% on Amazon Japan then I'll still be at $73.74 so not so much savings for me. I guess setting an alarm and hoping Pulse doesn't sell out is the smart choice. Would still have BBTS or EE as a back-up.

Yup, this – thanks Jack. Normally Amazon JP lists at full MSRP and after a bit they generally have a 20-30% discount. So if you preorder early, but the time it ships you’re guaranteed the lowest possible price. It’s 100% of the time with things like Masterpieces, but I’m not sure on something like this. I’ll be curious to see.
Either way, I’m really looking forward to this. Definitely a fun and unique design. And being a space geek, this is a no brainer for me lol.
Optimalprimal
Love this design. I've got a ton of extra Primes that don't fit on any shelf, so I think this one is going to lead a Multiversal Council of Primes on a new shelf.
As I said elsewhere, I think he will end up being head cannoned as a Ben Sisko type. He won his war but fell in love with the backwater planet that he fought on. Now he's part of a lunar colony that he's helping to build, watching over the human race like they were his grand kids.
It's nice to have one Optimus get a happy ending.
Warpshard
Placed an order as well. I'm not entirely sure if I want it, but with nearly a year between ordering it and it actually shipping out, I'll have more than enough time to settle on my decision. I imagine I'll end up keeping the order, though, he's a very special looking piece.
IronSites
Placed an order! I love me some space stuff.
HunterGreen2005
If the specs are correct, JAXA Prime is 7.08 inches, so slightly bigger than like Siege/Earthrise Optimus.
Aberration
Huh, I didn't notice that. That's kinda weird, since BBTS and EE don't seem to have any kind of deadline that I can see. (I'm sure someone will update the front page with the usual sponsor links, but it seems like you can order him in all the usual places now.)
JasonTFW
Is it really MP-10 size at only $75?
T-Hybrid
Worth noting Pulse is only up for PO until 9/7. Which means once the window closes there's no guarantee you'll be able to order one when they inevitably start shipping next year.
JasonTFW
Grabbed one. I'm disappointed they didn't offer the version with the stand, though!

Dang I'm going to regret not ordering this. I hope Hasbro imports this.
