And just a few hours after our first image of the new Kotobukiya Transformers Nemesis Prime Decepticon Herald Bishoujo statue, now we can share for you our first in-package images of this product via an eBay listing.
As you should have imagined, this is a black redeco of the Kotobukiya Bishoujo Series Transformers Convoy/Optimus Prime statue. We have a clear look at the figure in the box as well as the changes made in this release. Besides the new deco, it features a new Decepticon base, an evil smirky face, and a new big red sword (instead of the suitcase of the original release).
We still have not much details about this statue since we haven’t had any official announcement yet. Stay tuned with this space for more updates!

I agree. The sword looks terribly plain compared to the rest of the figure (and thus out of place). Especially since it is just one piece if translucent plastic. A dedicated handle would have helped a lot to make it more interesting.

She was a Comic Con San Diego 2023 exclusive. But as it always is not all of them got to the convention on time. So, the ones that did not make it got divvied up and distributed to partner sites to sell. After missing one at BBTS, I managed to get one from Entertainment Earth. The same thing happens on Planet Steel Express most times. The TFcon exclusives that did not make it in time get sold there. Also, some end up on the sponsor sites after the convention.

Now, I say this as someone who doesn't care about SG (at all) or this series of statues, BUT…
This (The product as it is now) honestly should've been Scourge. (Maybe with a scowling face or something)
Nemesis Prime is a neat concept that's never really been done well, except for two instances; 1.) RID Scourge, who is directly a clone, and 2.) Nova Prime after being corrupted by the Dead Universe.
Even then, Scourge is the better evil black truck, and Nova has jack shit to do with Optimus save for their shared rank and their eventual fight.
I'm tired of Nemesis' stealing Scourge's color scheme and it look like this statue who is not Scourge, now has Scourge's Sword of Fury.
Can't have shit on Waifu Cybertron.

Maybe I'm off the mark here, but I personally am getting pretty tired of every Optimus Prime figure getting the "nemesis" repaint right away as the first reuse. I mean, I know that's been the established pattern for a while now… but I would've definitely jumped on this immediately if it had been SG Optimus first. Even something like a Burning Guts version… idk. I just feel like Nemesis colors are losing their appeal. In this one particular case, I may have even preferred a white core Magnus version first instead of the NP version.
This unfortunately looked like it barely sold any pieces at SDCC, so I don't want Kotobukiya to think/feel the line is losing steam, I just think it's the colors to be honest.
I know SSSS.Gridman is affecting my opinion here a bit, but I really want the full roster in SG colors for this line like right now
I hope Kotobukiya picks up on that demand and makes Optimus's hair pastel purple, and Megatron's hair bluish black etc too…

Thanks for posting. I saw the listing before I posted, which I should have posted or at least made clear in my original post, and saw it was listed as "sold out", but does anyone know if it was ever for sale or not?
Edit: After looking at the BBTS thread I saw that it did in fact sell out earlier.
