A small image has surfaced over the internet showing what seems to be our first look at a new Takara Tomy Beast Wars Again Tigatron vs Blackarachnia 2-Pack.
While it’s a low quality image we can spot that these figure seem to be redecos of the Kingdom Tigatron and Blackarachnia molds now featuring special cartoon accurate deco and extra paint apps. This could be the fourth special 2-pack of redecos released by Takara Tomy following BWVS-01 Eternal Beast Showdown Optimus Primal vs Megatron, BWVS-02 Stubborn Confrontation Rhinox vs Scoponok and BWVS-03 Cheetor vs Waspinator.

I would've gone all in on these if TT hasn't neglected the Beast modes as much as they have
Bwvs-01: metallic blue on primals beast mode?! Those green stripes on Megatron's Trex belly??
Bwvs-02: why is rhinox a golden rhino?! He's not golden in either of his modes in the show. Don't know what TT were thinking with this one. Huge disappointment
Bwvs-03: OK I guess, but Cheetor could still use more paint. My custom Netflix is Superior in bot mode (has nicer blue too), inferior in beast mode
Bwvs-04: awful color mismatch on Tigatron
Bwvs-05: why couldn't they cast Terrorsaur in normal plastic and have him painted properly? Waste of money, even as a huge Rattrap fan, I'm not buying the worst mold again

Bwvs-07: Wrong bird color for Airazor. TT went color blind on this one. Still worth it if I didn't custom paint my Airazor superior to this one

Definitely agree about Chosen Prime. Delays like crazy. Never sure why, and I'm surprised they apparently never know as well for just about everything. I'm still waiting on an item that's been on pre-order for more than a year now. Haven't paid anything for it, but still…

It’s also still on Pulse, which is likely what I’ll do if I get no update by next month. Big problem is I prepaid as it makes budgeting easier for me. So I’d have to transfer that money to other preorders I have at @Chosen Prime and it’s always a big hassle. I emailed them about these items and their response was a completely useless “They’re still coming” without any eta or explanation for why they weren’t on time.

Beast Wars Again has now been moved to the “Products Archive” on the official website, so the line is definitely concluded.

This of course makes total sense, because in Japan Beast Wars and Beast Wars Metals are separate series with their own distinct logo. If they were to do premium versions of any potential future Generations Transmetals and Fuzors, it’d be in a new line using the Metals logo.
And to add to this: Legacy Sideburn is a November release, while Vector Prime is a January 2025 release. So that’s way too late for Takara to do a premium repaint or remold in the 40th anniversary line.

There's still a ton of those available on Big Bad Toy Store if you need it now. It usually takes Chosen Prime longer than others to get some things in stock.

I did at the appropriate release time from them. They’re usually pretty good but have also had some seemingly indefinitely delayed Figuarts. This is the first time I can remember it happening with a Takara release.

No he doesn't? The difference between Galaxy Convoy in normal mode and his carbot sized troops is less than the difference between G1 Optimus and his carbot sized troops. You're thinking of the original toys, in which the larger price points were way too big.

Fair enough. Most UT figs (post-Siegedom) so far have been fairly solid (unlike RID figures), so I don't think you have too much to worry about if they get around to making a proper attempt at old Galaxy Convoy.

Honestly yeah maybe I'm glazing a little, I just want the figure to be the best it can be because the design is one of my favourites for Prime and it hasn't been nailed quite yet, with renditions of the design being done once in a blue moon

How big do you really want him to be? You said you'd want his cab bot to be Voyager-sized and his super mode's only height increase is some small platform shoes that only make him about a head taller. And his wings are not much bigger than Menasor's unofficial wing configuration (thinner as well), Magmatron's head wings, or Jetfire's extended wings, all Commanders.
He's really not at all as complex as you're making him out to be.

He is a big bot though, he towers over everyone else in the Cybertron show bar titans, not just in height but also in width due to his massive wings
If they nail the engineering, they might make the figure too small, which wouldn't be an issue in a vacuum but make displays off and limit the complexity of a Leobreaker and Wing Saber due to a smaller size capacity
He should be Magmatron or Skyfire sized with the total complexity of Rodimus or 86 Prime, and that's a tall order for Commander

Agreed. If Rodimus and G1 Optimus where Commanders despite their trailer being mainly a box with little going on and being a tall voyager, Cybertron Optimus absolutely can be a Commander.

Yeah, he's really not any more complex than Armada Prime, so I don't see why he couldn't be a Commander.

Yeah that all seems do-able for a Commander given he’s not going to be a big bot like Magnus or Magmatron. Only reason you do a Haslab is to get Leobreaker and Wing Saber out all at the same time
