The official Transformers Twitter have treated us with a special Transformers: Rise Of The Beasts promotional video “Making History On Machu Picchu”.
The video features several behind-the-scenes of the filming at the ancient Machu Picchu. It’s good to remark that this is the very first time a movie has been filmed in the Inca citadel. We have the comments of the director Steven Caple Jr. and actor Anthony Ramos and Dominique Fishback who were impressed by the mystic environment of Machu Picchu and Cuzco city and the local culture.
Watch the video below which contains several new footage of the the Transformers at Machu Picchu which almost made your humble newsie go into tears of emotion.

The Dora the Explorer live action movie, out of all things, respected local cultures really well, even to the point of having Indigenous actors play members of the Inca.
I hope that ROTB stays a similar way in the final film!

It's always great when a movie does fancy overseas shooting but also makes it a celebration of the location and not just done for the glam or marketing-value of it all. I liked a fair bit of the AoE China scenes, but this… it's a different beast entirely (pun maybe intended).

I was thinking it's when they first arrive, Primal sees them, before the confrontation.
