Oh, dang! Wrong line.
Right guy. Man, I hope so.

Are you talking about Galaxy Force/Cybertron Signal Lancer, the transforming traffic light in the middle of the desert?
Signal Lancer will happen one day, and he'll be glorious, we just need Transformers to have a brand manager with a kooky sense of humor/taste for the absurd.

I think SS86 Megatron is a bad idea, period. Just avoid him like they have CR/RID2001 Lancer, G1 Arcee (in 1986), etc. You get the idea.
jmagnus83
so Code Red is the last one from this message. So someday this week I’m guessing. EE has this drop zone listing for Tuesday at 10 pm PST which would be 1 AM Wednesday on the east coast.
“It's Toy Fair week, and we're fairly sure you're going to like these toys. They're new, but if you're old enough to remember VHS and the pet rock, you might be especially excited.”
seems 80s centric and Stranger Things is set in the 80s so maybe it fits!
T-Hybrid
It's gonna be Leader Class 86 Megatron, with additional engineering to ensure any treads, turrets, etc tuck away within his bot mode.
Dunno if it'll be a tank, but it won't be anything that could be misconstrued for a gun.
Additional accessories will include his mace, himself in gun mode with the stock/silencer/etc (likely not removable), and the gun he killed Optimus with.
Book it.

Let's please not delve back into the whole Megatron/gun discussion. There's almost no way to avoid politics, so it's best to just move on.
ExiaDefensor
They've like said numerous times they won't do official gun modes because of laws/politics in the USA
Skycutter
i just waiting for them to make a core/battlemaster megatron

I've just been around long enough to see my share of "never ever, completely impossible, etc" stuff actually happen. Anybody that has a G1 Soundwave reissue in their possession should take any "never ever" with a grain of salt. That mold was lost forever at the bottom of some Asian harbor and would never ever be reissued…until it was.
There's an element of this fandom that loves to pull the "you don't work for Hasbro, you don't know why they did/didn't do that" card constantly, only to turn around and lecture the rest of us about their own "facts" ultimately borne out of not having the relevant experience to back it up either. They're only parroting what they've heard before, be it rumors passed down through the ages or a random remark from a revolving door of Hasbro staff beholden to often rudderless corporate management.
While many things are _unlikely_, posting ALL CAPS proclaiming their impossibility still makes me roll my eyes. Especially with Takara. They've gone out on their own lots of times and released some "crazy" stuff over the years. If they want to do it, they're going to do it, Karens in a different country be damned.
Edit: And I want to add this last part to direct back to the toys. This is a large part of why I said putting the 1986 movie into Studio Series was a mistake. They had about as good of a situation as they were going to get with WFC, a more or less accurate G1 update with a few liberties like Megatron (a great figure whose retool was ruined). Then somebody got cold feet on the third part and stuffed it full of BW updates instead of post-movie and beyond like alot of us expected. That just set off a domino effect that led us here, where three lines (WFC/L, SS, Buzzworthy) are pretty scrambled now, with Megatron being only one of the casualties.
MeGrimlock78
IF he were a gun, and that's a mighty big "if'" he'd have to be a neon coloured nerf looking gun. I believe I read (ages ago, mind you) that Hasbro was out of the "selling realistic looking guns to kids" phase of their business plan.
RKillian
Does your dad work for Hasbro and Takara? It's not a fact (to scream about) until it actually happens. Yeah, this argument applies to both things you do _and_ don't like.

That would be the best option, as long as Takara gets nudged to make twice as many so importing doesn't turn into the sort of disaster that Bandai is so fond of causing.
