I have no skin in this but this doesn't make sense. Then what's the point of a reviewer, or reviewing anything? I read or watch reviews because I want to build a compound opinion on things that I'm iffy about. If a reviewer is only telling me something I "want" to hear them they're not doing their job.

I just don't understand how anyone can see otherwise.

A differing opinion is one thing. But this is like being a food critic and stating the universally accepted worlds best restaurant is worse than McDonald’s. While it may not be your favorite, you lose all credibility as a reviewer of your specific field when you use such hyperbole.

Keep in mind, I don't even have an opinion one way or another about this particular figure. I just find it hilarious that a reviewer, whose job is to provide opinions and information about a product, suddenly becomes a bad reviewer when he holds a minority opinion. Not because he doesn't know the lore of SG Rodimus, not because he mangled the transformation on camera, he's just bad because his conclusions don't match yours.

And then of course there's the intellectual dishonesty that whatever you (general you) think is good and true and anyone else is objectively wrong. I just don't see the point in getting bent out of shape because one guy on the internet didn't like one single toy.
