Courtesy of TFW member ziltama, we now have an in-hand image gallery and review of the new Shattered Glass Leader Grimlock!
A redeco of the previous Studio Series 86 Leader Grimlock figure, this Shattered Glass version is looking slick here and is shown off in his robot and dinosaur modes along with some comparisons with the aforementioned SS86 version.
Check out the images after the break, plus ziltama’s rundown on the figure!

Yeah, plus Nonnef's sprue management leaves much to be desired IMO, and often winds up with sprue marks on front-facing surfaces/edges.
Are you quoting an outdated listing?
Yes, Nonnef stuff tends to be rather plain (not to mention QC problems) to the point where some of the 3d printed options look and function better. Grimlock sword included.
The best sword I saw was 3d printed but only available in small quantities: the MSS sword sold with the first batch of the ZX Grimlock set.

To each their own. I think Nonnef's sword looks boring and plain, and Shockwave's Lab makes great stuff.
Options are good!
Sword only $5.99 @ Nonnef, plus shipping. And it's molded plastic, not 3D printed. Shipping $5.98 so total would be $11.97 which is $3.02 cheaper than ebay. Not trying to poop on your suggestion but I think Nonnef's version is superior being molded, cheaper, and faster shipping than from China.
Got mine about a week or so a go. Almost passed on him… almost.

Got this in a couple days ago, cannot stop fiddling with it
the SS86 scheme looked bland to me, kind of a lifeless mold due to being so toon inspired
the Trypticon colors transform it so much, the thing just POPS
i even got a Siege Brunt to go with it
I'll never understand why this one gets the clearer chest than the SS86 one
Yeah I think so too they definitely would because that way they can stop Fans☕Toys alternate company release their white Optimus Magnus release. Plus it goes with the commander class style.
From what I recall, there was a leaked listing for a Commander-class SS86 Ultra Magnus supposedly for next year. Some people are speculating that it will have an inner robot (white Optimus) that's a pretool for a Commander-class SS86 Optimus Prime.
I'm personally hoping that it will as that's my preferred Ultra Magnus design, and if they do, then I'd also hope that they'd do a new Delta Magnus redeco.
Thanks again guys ! I do remember the movie advanced line now. I have most of them as I mentioned earlier but I definitely missed out on these.
What is this I haven't heard about this. Any details?
Finally got mine, he's really nice. Nicely clicking ratchets, very clean paint. Unfortunately on my copy his right leg doesn't ratchet forward/backward like the left leg. Still a relatively tight joint, by no means floppy and can hold a pose fine, but it'll inevitably bug me anyways. The crotch assembly looks screwed together so maybe I can disassemble it and try and fix it.
Edit: took it apart and inserted half a dozen tiny paper strips underneath the ratchet piece to push it slightly closer to the teeth, screwed back together and it's working properly now
It was the 2014/early 2015 Takara Tomy line that had a bunch of AoE stuff and also several older molds. Nemesis Prime & Grimlock were exclusive to the 2014 Transformers Expo in Yokohama.
Are you talking about the Takara Tomy line of repaints of movie figures OR was that line that was in time of Age of Extinction? I think it's the AOE come to think of it wasn't the tall deluxe Bumblebee from that line. Either way it's ironic I didn't know about yours and I have both lines in full (minus the voyager Optimus Prime but I have multiples in package of the Hasbro version).

that's the 3rd party accessory I never knew I needed until now.
Ok, now I've gotta make SG Grims a cone of shame.

the poor baby has to wear a neck cast? oh no! hope he's okay.
Gee Won 1984
SG Grimlock looks great. If inflation wasn't out of control I would get one for my kid. Instead we will have to be happy with just the original.
Nothing you don't already know if you've got the SS version, but a damn nice color scheme all the same.
