We have yet another TV Spot for Transformers: Rise of the Beasts and this time from China.
The spot contains extended looks at several scenes we’ve already seen before.
Update: The original video was taken down. You can still find an IG reel mirror HERE or after the break.
SPLIT LIP
I think this is less a direct homage to Prime and more just emblematic of how generic that show's characters and setting were.
Like I don't really think you could say "characters in a warehouse" is a connecting element.
The designs are also just the natural result of simplifying the movie aesthetic, which is what Prime did. And Mirage is Smokescreen as much as Smokescreen was Bumblebee, as much as he was Hot Shot, etc.
Opti772
It's definitely Prime..I mean Mirage is Smokescreen, the almost "Beast Hunters", the weapons, the more simple designs are more Prime than G1..even the battlfield..it might remind you of Marvel but that too, the wearhouse or whatever it is where the Autobots are..again.It's nice that the movies influenced the show and vice versa, they just influenced eachother

Let's have a mirror video. You can even from our Rutube.
Paramount has no power there!)

If these new films truly are a reboot then they should go ahead and give bee his damn voice back. And the funny thing is, you wouldn’t even need some elaborate explanation. Just have ratchet or Wheeljack or whoever repair his voice off screen, in between films, and then mention it in a throw away line explaining to the audience why bee can suddenly talk now. The mute thing is getting old.
Shin Densetsu
Seems to me Paramount intends for Mirage to be like Bumblebee was in the Michael Bay movies only able to talk without needing to use recordings.
Jalen Gatton07
Why would they copyright it?

Here's the full video mirror I uploaded on IG

Ha Ha… The video was copyrighted by Paramount!

Eh true but personally, I'd rather us see some of the same footage again and again rather than nothing but 1 trailer and a car company shill for like 6 months. Thats just me though.
VVa
Not unless they consist of largely the same footage.
HaloGamerGirl69420
You can never have too many trailers. ^^
RazorX3000
Yeah, assuming the movie even does well enough to warrant a sequel.. I hope they listen to fan feedback and change some things for the better.
SPLIT LIP
If they end up all making the same "pew pew" noise we'll know it's an intentional homage to Prime.
I just really prefer when characters have unique weapons. The 07 movie was perfect with giving the Autobots unique guns that looked and felt unique from one another. You have hand-held blasters, arm-mounted cannons, and hand-replacing guns all at once.
RazorX3000
I actually do wonder if they took a lot of inspiration from Prime or if it's all just a coincidence.
SPLIT LIP
Man, everyone but Arcee really has the same generic arm cannon.
SunSwipe5
For me, if you took RiD2015 Sideswipe and Prime Smokescreen and combined them, you'd get ROTB Mirage.
That's probably why I like this dude so much
SuperGodUltraLid
I thought the same at first, but it’s not like general audiences are going out of their way to watch every single one of these Tv spots as soon as they release like us.
Sledgehammer
Is it me, or is Mirage just Jazz without the visor? *shrug*
TAZZY
No trailers! Too many trailers! Paramount hates us.
HotShotPrime
I can already tell Mirage is going to be a hell of a character in this film.
