Via funkopopnews Instagram we have our first look at the new Transformers: Rise of the Beasts Funko POPs!
We had reported listings and product descriptions of these new Funko Pop figures by the end of 2022, but we finally have our first official renders and packaging of Rise Of The Beasts Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, Arcee, Mirage, Scourge and Optimus Primal in the popular Funko Pop style.
Update: Rhinox (Rhino mode) revealed via @the_pop_analyst and confirmed as a Target exclusive.
See the mirrored images after the break and then sound off your impressions on the 2005 Boards!

Say, uh, just found these at a Target in Texas. Are these new? Haven't seen those before.
Venixion
Ugh, it looks like a mechanized tweety bird.

The T-shirt sets are popping up in stores now, the Prime is metallic I guess. It's like 1 shade darker than the normal release.View attachment 30121551
Autobot City Comics 2008
I think it’s metallic is the only difference
Daimao
It looks the same to me except for the Target sticker. There's no description on the listing yet, maybe it has special finish or something
Jalen Gatton07
Is the Prime Pop any different than the normal release?
Daimao
That worked, thanks! Here's a direct link:

Someone posted this screenshot on Facebook but I can't find the actual item on Target's app

It immediately reminds me of the Golden Mask award.

I just don't care for them but they're everywhere I look. EVERYTHING has a funko. Does the word "saturated market" mean anything? Plus the fact they went in with NFTs is another reason I'm not exactly endeared towards them.
If you like Funkos then hey, more power to you and I'm not talking to you cause I get it. They're an inexpensive way to show your fandom.
The Happenin Rhinoceros
I love how your defense there is that because it's the internet people can act in socially inappropriate ways that they never would in reality.
Why is it so hard to offer the same respect to people on a message board that you would to a real person on the street? Newsflash…people on forums are real people.
The Happenin Rhinoceros
That's twisting my words to suit your narrative. It's not at all what I said and you know it.
This isn't about being angry because somebody dared to disagree. The conversation was always about the folks that pop in to make the same comment every time there's a post about Funko Pops and how pathetically tedious they are.
And there's a line between voicing an opinion and being an ass about it that many on these boards gleefully leap across.
The Happenin Rhinoceros
And you think the factories churning out transforming robots in China are environmentally friendly in their byproducts and making figures from recycled materials?
Novaburnhilde
I mean, they're both bad for the environment / wasteful and seem to be overproduced.
I'm definitely seeing folks taking peoples criticisms of a product personally. So you're saying that if anyone enjoys something ever that means it's somehow inappropriate to voice a differing perspective on it?
This isn't a specialty store in real life, its a public message board where anyone can voice their perspective, positive or negative, on products.
The Happenin Rhinoceros
I think you've got that backwards. Nobody here is taking it personally. I'm not a huge fan of Funko Pops myself, so it's not offending me. It's just plain weird for people to pop onto a thread where people are enjoying something to loudly proclaim how that thing sucks. It reeks of a desperate need for attention.
If you walked into a specialty store in real life and started loudly proclaiming how everything in there was trash and should be burned, the majority of onlookers would probably think you're mentally disturbed.
John Titor
That's an oxymoron.
Beenie babies or pogs seems more of an apt comparison. And there's nothing wrong with collecting them.
Novaburnhilde
You'll find that most people probably don't hate 'those that do', but low self esteem + the need for validation from peers = people who will get REALLY mad if you dump on a thing that they like and they will always take it personally.
Lord of kaon
really don`t care about this stuff but I don`t hate those who do
Novaburnhilde
I mean, they're basically physical NFT's.
I don't really 'hate' Funko pops, in-fact I own a few and have actively bought some, I just think they're pretty wasteful / overproduced and kinda ugly looking. They're pretty convenient for gifts because they exist for basically anything you can imagine.
But I understand why they have this reputation.
