Thanks to 2005 Boards member Pixelmaster we have in-hand images of the new Transformers Legacy Deluxe Beachcomber for your viewing pleasure.
Beachcomber is part of Legacy Wave 6 Deluxe (together with Axelgrease and Devcon) and we have images in robot and alt mode and some comparison shots with other updated Minibots like Goldbug and Warpath. To top it all we also have close up shot of Beachcomber’s bird companion: Paradise Parakeet.
See the new images after the break and then let us know your impressions on the 2005 Boards!

Outside of straight-up animation flubs, and AKOM, and intentional exaggeration (in the case of many of the Combiner appearances) the G1 animation wasn't as inconsistent as is frequently memed on. There's lots of general baselines to be inferred upon.
WishfulThinking
I don't really use the cartoon for size estimations, since they fluctuate episode to episode…sometimes scene to scene.

Not to debate your preferences, but in the 'toon, the Minibots weren't that "mini", and that feature was mostly constrained to the S1 characters. Bumblebee, Cliffjumper, and Brawn were the especially short ones. Huffer and Windcharger were only about a head shorter than the other car 'Bots (don't remember where Gears sits). The S2 inductees were more frequently depicted as full-size. I think Beachcomber was in the "head shorter" range, while Cosmos, Warpath, Powerglide, and Seaspray were "standard" height.
WishfulThinking
I like my PotP version too much to replace. So what he's short…he's supposed to be a minibot and I prefer the alt mode to be smaller. I'd buy this mold in G2 chrome colors, though, for sure.

I love this little parakeet! Just a little birb!

I don't have Instagram, so if someone would please send Mark a pic or two of Newage's Cybertron Hardtop made from their Beachcomber as a hint to Mark for another remold of this Beachcomber, I would be eternally grateful.
flik68
Yeah it would be a funny but neat ammo clip.
Feralstorm
Thank you, Mr. pedantic exposition!

BIRD POOP GUN: CONFIRMED!- ER…., I mean Uric Acid Blaster!
PlanckEpoch
You mean magazine. A clip is a metal strip or cage designed to hold bullets together. A magazine is a container, box or tubular, integral or detachable, with a spring and follower or feed mechanism that stores bullets and feeds them into the action or breech of a firearm.

Now both Chefatron and PvP have gone "Look, Evo-Fusion is putting a gun in the hand! LOL!"
We need to attach the bird to the gun – like an ammo clip.
Bass X0
I’d like a box-set of G2 Mini-Bots.

I want to try and find some little rabbits to complete the scene. I'll be hopping mad if I can't.
Zentropy
I should have just painted the damned bird out of my G2 digibash. It’d be gone if I bought the figure anyway.
Night Flame
I'm waiting for one of us nerds to bust out screenshots and pictures of specific species of birds with scale charts. Come on, guys. I know we're capable of turning this into an epic knock-down / drag-out argument.
skunkobot
Well damn, this thread took a sudden turn toward adorable!
I think you’re both gonna need some green spray paint, though, if you want to nail that cartoon accuracy.
Jalen Gatton07
Yep, they stay out to play all day! You have a cute friend too!
Dinobot Snarl
That's how to have a parakeet people. The cage is not for locking!
