And it arrived! Quicker than expected to Australia, and packaged extremely well. Scan Prime and all

I had not even considered getting this for the original price, though it did look awesome. This had me look again. I added to cart last night but didn’t commit. Was thinking overnight that I kinda have plans to use Lego roads and so forth in an eventual display so this could suit.
Finally pulled the trigger and got the last one. Hoping it will still come with the blue Prime.
How many here have one? Are you enjoying it? Would love to see some photos

a page back i was laying layers of lucite, a clear epoxy that hardens into something crazy tough. not for beginners though. i was originallynusing it to stabilize the ceiling.
it’s the stuff they use to make things like this.
i’m just laying a thin layer on parts that don’t show to hold it all together.
it just too large and thin in some places to be stable enough to move. i imagine you’d have similar issues with a lego star destroyer, you wouldn’t want it to fall… although i guarantee lego would have a better build.

While I haven't had any issues with keeping mine together, that's part of why I didn't worry too much about the fact that my adjustments to the doors to make them even also leave them a bit wobbly up top. For the display use and occasional feature use it's going to get, it's really not an issue. It doesn't feel any more fragile than the rest of it.

Or a telling commentary on the set itself?

Using super glue with brick construction sets should be considered some kind of blasphemy and / or treason
Tekkaman Blade
That was probably me, it happened so often I broke out the superglue. I'd secure one piece get everything together and the next time I tried to attach it a different piece fell off.

What does this mean?

i gave up on the doors, its so minuscule…
after taking about a week off due to frustration, i finally finished tonight. as someone previously mentioned, building the ark portion is awkward and pieces want to fall off. like sections. and spill into pieces and making you back up (and forth) in the directions to rebuild and place that piece.
today i just started gluing. i also bought a roblox lego set for 9.99 for extra pieces where i felt necessary for stability.
it’s together, painstakingly and vaingloriously beautiful.
i’ll spend tomorrow icing it down with lucite so it can be placed in it final resting place. whew.

I got in the parts I ordered to add wheels to the back of the doors, and it really made no difference.
So after further consideration, I realized that what's making the doors hang uneven is the track system at the top of the doors, which has enough gap to it that it can let the doors rest at an angle.
I considered the possibility of adding weight to the outer edges of the doors, but then I realized that if those tracks are removed, the doors will just sit flat on the tiles.
So I took the doors off, swapped the positions of the gray 'door guide' 1×8 plates with the orange 1×8 plates beside them, so that the track grooves stick out the back.
This is the piece I'm referring to.

Doing this allows the doors to simply rest on the tiles. It leaves the doors wobbly at the top, but that's not a major concern for me. The whole mechanism still works great, and the doors close without an uneven gap.
I also moved the partial wall panel pieces that hold the bottom in place, shifting the outer ones over by two studs. Not really necessary, but I felt like it helped with stability a little bit.

That's awesome to hear. And it looks like they have a rep that regularly posts and answers questions on here in the Show Z thread. That's pretty damn amazing these days.

If you are missing pieces…Show Z will make it right. I was missing three pieces from the KO Lego Prime trailer I bought from them and they bent over backwards to understand exactly what three pieces I was missing and then got me replacements asap. Some of the best customer service I have ever experienced.

My set arrived today from Show Z Store, and I was not prepared for how big the box is! Now to hope and pray I'm not missing any pieces, and I'll start building tomorrow. Not sure how much time I'll be able to devote to this right now as I am slammed with work, pre-production on my film, and ongoing health concerns for both my son and me, so hopefully I can have it put together within a week or two.

If it works I'll put it up. If this first test doesn't work, I'll need to try a different configuration of wheels.

If they do, you know we'll all want to see it and a breakdown of the exact parts, right?
eMouse
Something to fractionally raise the tiles it slides on might work. Or 'beads' inserted under the bottom of the door might do it. Though my preference is for something that would be brick-based. I've ordered some wheels and the parts necessary to connect them We'll see if they achieve the desired effect.

What about applying like a tiny, flattened bit of blue-tac on the bottom? Then just coat the tac on the underside with some clear polish to let it slide?
You could probably also cut little strips of like plastic "resume folder", make a little stack, and glue them to themselves to get the height you need, then tape them on the bottom and up the back side of the doors to keep it hidden.
