Third party company Dr. Wu have have updated their Weibo account with images of two new color variants of their DW-E19 Propel (G1 Thrust) and DW-E20 Elegy (G1 Dirge).
Both figures are Micromaster scale renditions (about 5 to 6 cm tall) of Thrust and Dirge featuring a nice level of poseability and a cartoon-accurate design in both modes. They will be sold as a 2-pack and we have now the following special limited version:
- DW-E19G Propel & DW-E20Y Elegy – Shattered Glass deco.

The repaints have been better than I expected. Dr. Wu has a good eye for colors.

Those are some niche choices for repaints, but, hey. It seems like Dr. Wu is really getting their mileage out of their conehead versions of their seeker molds. Good for them!

You know, with the bits of black, along with that particular shade of slightly neon, mildly greenish yellow used for SG Cosmos almost makes him come off more as Krok.

So obviously the yellow Dirge is the SG version… I guess since there isn’t really an established color scheme for SG Thrust (that I know of?) the green Thrust is an Armada homage. I might just label him up as SG Thrust anyway (though in my mind SG Thrust should be blue like BWII Dirge, since SG Dirge homages BWII Thrust’s colors, in a weird roundabout).

Oh man I forgot about that fugly figure! That thing always reminded me of a kabaya kit due to that color scheme. Thrust has such a cool mold it's a shame it isn't appreciated more. I would love to see a good repaint of Thrust someday…

I know it used the Classics mold when released, but would you not count Nacelle as a repaint of G1 Thrust?

I just think it's unexpected demand given how good this and the SG came out, plus you know it's ACTUALLY Gobot Pathfinders deco on Cosmos instead of that oddball blue/red/yellow Takara pulled out their butt all those years ago.
Niche group or not, people have been asking for this, and just having come from the other thread totally not surprised pre-orders are GONE. Small package but absolutely stunning to see.

How the heck are these already basically sold out everywhere? I can't find anywhere that still has preorders for the SG Cosmos/G2 Ramjet and Conehead repaint set. Are they super limited or something?

On the one hand, I'm really glad they're doing all these repaints, because seekers are my crack. On the other hand, I kinda hate it, because, well, seekers are my crack. Like folks here know I have all the NA, MS, and IF ones, I can't believe I'm on the hook for a 4th mini line. But I've been limiting myself to going on all out on Legends scale and below. Well, that's not true, I guess voyager scale and below, because I have all the WFC to current seekers as well.
But I'm really trying to stop myself from getting the Maketoys Coneheads when they come out since it'll be a struggle to figure where to put those. At least these are tiny enough to fit somewhere on my shelves.
