He is, it's just he's also an insanely niche character, if Wu had done say a Laser Prime in Toxi's deco pretty sure the outcome may have been different.

Huh. So this is my first figure thats limited to a certain ammount of pieces. Thankfully im that niche and I loved that fun pub cómic where he faces of against thundermayhem, as wreckage.

That's what this post states. It's kinda hard to believe that worldwide he hasn't been able to sell all 500 copies yet, go figure…

EDIT: Then again it may have simply been a means to sell more copies… That is in fact a commonly utilized marketing ploy as far as third party companies go. And everyone jumps on it fast in order to not miss out lol. And if you had proof that more than 500 copies were sold they'd simply say that they decided to produce more copies due to high demand. I recall Justitoys doing this often…

FYI, the Insectitrain was Mechanic Studios: Mechanic Studio Heart of Steel Insecticons

Unfortunate that we haven't gotten an update on that project though (or most of their concepts). I think the MFT disbanding had a big affect on their plans.

I thought the Insectitrain was a joint project with MeSt and Dr Wu. I could be wrong, though.

Great googily moogily Dr. Wu sure got his money's worth outta this mold. Makes me wonder if a Magna Convoy or the other BAPES are possible surprises down the road.

Still no Siege Overkill and Slugfest, Insectitrain, or a Scourge & Laser Prime, so I guess he doesn't really want my money…

I say after preordering every Cosmos Duo plus Dirge & Thrust…

Good call man, you're absolutely correct it does look to be modeled after that figure…

I can't help but wish they had the two greens, as unreasonable as I know that is. On the MP-10 repaint it was different parts whereas Dr Wu has fewer parts so it would require painting.

I think the end result has some creative interpretation by Dr. Wu, particularly with the head and feet, but I do think the original G1 BAPE Optimus was the inspiration because of the tan color used in place of the chrome silver and the window color.

I believe the MP Bape has similar if not the same windows, it is just the picture I grabbed doesn't show them well. In the lower right of the image the box image and the smaller figure next to the box show the color of the window better than the large robot mode or the truck in it.

I recognize the text saying "green monkey" sounds like Bape to me as well, but just looking at it reminds me more of the MP-10 Duck Camo than it does green Bape (not exactly the same, but closer).

I like them especially the green one, but I am a bit concerned by the lack of the repair bay parts as the more colours they do the more they have to do to make that part match.

I bet that green OP will look pretty great with Bulkhead.

I don't really need either one, but I'm happy if these make Inferno and Grapple possible.
