Transformers: Bumblebee DLX Arcee
Hasbro and threezero are thrilled to present Arcee, the female Autobot from the Transformers: Bumblebee film as the next figure in the Transformers DLX collectible articulated figure series!
At 8 inches (~20.3 cm) tall, the Transformers Bumblebee DLX Arcee collectible figure features approximately 60 points of articulation, with a die-cast metal frame and LED illuminated eyes. Accessories include a pair of blasters, four pairs of interchangeable hands, and a DLX Action Stand for more dynamic poses.
DLX Collectible Figures present intricate Transformers designs in a smaller scale with high-fidelity production value. With its unique die-cast metal frame design, DLX not only provides an advanced range of articulation, but also greatly enhances the weight and durability. Together with the detailed and weathered paint application of threezero, a remarkable resemblance is achieved in matching the characters as seen in the original media.

Your right and spot on
My third party Gundam came with a bonus head that has a magnet base that I use to turn her head off/on with an almost touch and it works really well imo it's pretty clever.
Not really sure why they could not have done the same ( it is UL compliant)

I got mine the other day from BBTS and unboxed it. It looks nice and is very heavy compared to something like MP Arcee it definitely needs that huge oversized stand.
Going to be honest here it's really nice and maybe the only real high quality bumblebee arcee we get. but in terms of cost to quality, imo, it's not any nicer then the BF Nicee.
One thing I felt was at many points of hand contact to adjust the parts for different poses the areas connecting the plastic to metal felt loose and fragile and was a lot of flex with any hand pressure on the figure in making adjustments.
Maybe the price will come down as I don't think it's worth $189+ and about $130 is much better to me imo but the toy is in a league of it's own so they can ask that price. I guess of it transformed I think that would have added much more value. Don't get me wrong this is a great toy I highly recommend it.
Now waiting on a ROTB Arcee

Couple more pics to go with my review on my website – UK Anime Network, don't think we're allowed links so google if interested
The more time I spend with her, the more I like the design. The almost 50's style pouldrons, profile facial view and those colours are just lovely. I'm glad this was the design they went with and not the ROTB version – the colourway is pretty ugly on that design imo, this has far more balance and better curves.
The Factory
To me, it seems that this figure is good, but somewhat lackluster in comparison to the previous releases. I heard a lot of complains about the buttons for the eyes and if Threezero didn't want to implement a button on the forehead, they should've just installed a magnetic LED. It's not cumbersome and you can turn on the eyes without having to put the switch on and off. Also, I think some parts could have been engineered better, but it looks great for the most part. I hope they make a shatter with some parts of this mold.
Acteon
Woohoo, mine arrived today – love the colours! My only complaint is the lack of on/off switch for the eyes outside of the cover that you need to unscrew. They did it with Prime, seems almost lazy here.

I’m surprised how tall Arcee is supposed to be based on the Sunbow chart. She’s considerably taller than Prowl, Sideswipe, Hotrod, etc. She’s shorter than Inferno and Grapple, and about the same size as Blurr and Kup. I always figured she’d maybe be Sideswipe height, but she’s taller.
Granted, I guess none of this is really the same in the Bayverse…but I had noticed this when comparing my MP G1 Arcee options.
VVa
She looks really awesome but her scale is weird. She's more or less as tall as Bumblebee, which on Cybertron is okay, but both DLX Bee and OP are their earth modes. So I guess you'd have to think of her as a massive pink car, like Earthspark Arcee.

Well, she's here and overall it's another great piece despite seemingly splitting us lot right down the middle. Some shots of the details and initial thoughts follow.

I'm actually quite a fan of both headsculpts now I've got her and I've been pretty vocal about both not exactly being oil paintings. The eyes on the more stylised take are particularly well done although the archaic manner in which the LEDs are handled on both can get in the fucking sea. Nobody should be unscrewing things to never put the screw back in again. Nobody should be removing the helmet to switch on the sodding eyes.

Some articulation qualms – the way in which the elbow armour requires moving to allow the bend, plus the slightly limited range once you have it seems lacking. The hip skirts being attached at the back like MDLX Bumblebee (and very tight with it) is a bit off-putting when first manipulating the legs.
And while the paint is certainly not as heavy on the usual wear and tear, it's absolutely there. Just subtly done.

I do wish the big chunks of pearlescent white had kept the black wash as we originally saw on promo images and early figures at toy shows. That is a definite negative but the deco remains fantastic and this is a fucking cracking paintjob. I'm definitely gonna appreciate the splash of colour she brings to the shelf.

And with a wonderful in hand feel, good weight despite a relatively small frame, buttery smooth joints and overall great articulation, threezero once again translates the Bumblebee movie aesthetic into a quality action figure.

Will sort out some shots putting that articulation through its paces soon.

The problem is that the gun is huge and quite heavy at this scale. The Premium figure includes a clip that is supposed to fix the issue, but it only helps marginally at best. I’d have to get a tape measure out, but I think the gun is over 12” long. So it’s *big*. So I think it comes down to physics and how much weight is gained at scale. That said, ThreeZero should have found a better fix. As it is, you only have a few poses you can do with the gun reliably. Don’t get me wrong, I love this figure, and I think it’s a steal at MSRP…but they should have found a better solution for the gun.
lurasidone
Interesting but sad to hear that others are having issues too. I didn't know there was a widespread problem with Premium Optimus' fingers. Sounds like ThreeZero should stick with fixed hands ala the DLX line.
Grimlock212
Yeah, that’s the biggest issue with the Premium Optimus. They should have come up with a better solution to hold the gun.
Sonic Boom
I also have the Premium OP. Yes, his articulated fingers do leave something to be desired. Haven't had any issues with 3rd party figures in the DLX size though.
lurasidone
I don't. I can't get Premium Optimus to hold his Ion Blaster. Really takes away from the enjoyment of the figure. IMO the fixed DLX hands do just fine and are much easier to work with.
Napalm
Yikes. Tasty breakage.

Sonic Boom
She looks great. I like the more magenta look on the figure. Wish the DLX line had articulated fingers though.
