Rise of the Beast Mainline Voyagers Found at US Retail

Thanks to MASKin2015 we have our first US sighting of the ROTB Mainline Voyagers wave 1 consisting of Optimus Prime and Optimus Primal. These were found at a Walmart in South Dakota.

It won't be rereleased, but there is a lot of stock that did not hit shelves. So it may still come out at a later time or be made available through a liquidator later.

I\'m seeing wave 2 of this line sitting on my local shelves for about a month now. Is there any chance of wave 1 being re-released again anywhere. Sorry if this has been covered elsewhere, I just know there are people who have their ear to the ground about this a lot better than myself.

I was lucky and found a mainline prime and I have to agree he's a great easy to transform while also looking good and very 'action figury'. Sad there's no melee weapons and he's undersized compared to SS and chug, but very satisfying figure

In short, yes. I like him a lot more than I liked any of the Studio Series Optimii. He’s obviously lacking paint, and his included gun isn’t accurate or impressive. But he’s very posable, balances incredibly well and has every joint I could want except for a ball jointed head. I’m genuinely not sure how much Studio Series could top this.

Well we've seen now how it an be improved upon, with height and proportions. But I am happy you like this voyager. The big feet do help with the balance and the poses you can achieve without extra support.

I tried telling people he was receiving unwarranted hate. I'm glad to see they're getting to enjoy this awesome Optimus Prime figure. How he's so good I don't know but after him, Hasbro has a lot of explaining to do if future Primes suck after this one.

I scanned a pic of Primal's barcode at Target and it said no information found

Man, right as these were getting sighted like a month ago I saw a box of RoTB voyagers at my Walmart, and I thought I didn't want Prime or Primal, and then I saw all the repaints people have been doing of Primal, and now I have Regret.

Here's hoping the SS looks even better!

Woof, picked up Prime today. Rang up at $35, just shy of $40 after tax. That stings, especially when you can’t get the $10 reward because it’s just one item. Definitely not thrilled with that pricetag in hand.

Haven’t opened him yet, but I’m expecting big things from a figure this small at that high of a price.

Found a case in Middlefield, Ohio. Primal was in bot mode, not beast. So no variant but glad to have finally found them. Ugh.

What’d they ring up for?

Never released. There was a fan QandA a few months ago. They said there were currently no plans to release the figure. Not in Velocitron at least. They left the door open for a potential release in the future, but there’s no guarantee of when or if it will even happen.

Oh snap! I didn't know that damn that's weird. I have the SS voyager 86' (as long as my dad packed it from my living room when he put me in jail to steal my $200,000 dollar toy collection, and yeah he pays rent on the huge space barn we keep them in. And he only stole them to get me out of the apartment & keep them safe but if he talked to me he wouldn't have had to unorganize them for really no reason they were already boxed and organized so it's almost like my step mom just did it out of spite) and I have the original but I never got the Kingdom Commander class OR the Power of the Primes. If I get the chance I'll get both now, with the commander in a moments notice just like Motormaster.

The ROTB voyagers here haven't made it to my area yet. I just got Pointblank for his first showing up here.

Also whenever one of us stops to ask them about something, odds are pretty good we aren't the first and won't be the last. So it may seem like they're being rude by not being able to step aside and go hunt in back for something…but in instances where there's a thing many of us are specifically looking for…it can add up (and get annoying) if everyone comes during the day to interrupt their current work.

I wouldn't be shocked if, in some stores, they just say "if it's not on the shelf don't go looking." Because they need their staff to get the stuff on shelves.

I tried that for awhile, and every once in a while you find someone in that department for 6 months to a year (tops) that will fish out what you need if it's in store. And then find others, that make a big deal so I stopped asking altogether to go out back. What I do now is just have them scan a barcode & see if any are in store or on the way & depending on the answer, go from there. Usually return the next day or two if in store & depending on if they think they will get them right out or if a couple of days. If its a important enough figure & I have a approximate date of in store arrival, I'll put it in my calendar to remind me. ;)
