We have an interesting discovery for the fandom tonight. As had been reported earlier, new ROTB toys are starting to be found in stores. One of them features a new Megatron boxart design we haven’t seen before.
This is leading some to speculate it could be the fabled Bumblebee movie Megatron model that had gone unused. With that being said, is it possible the previously-reported “MV6” Studio Series Leader will indeed be his BB incarnation after all? Only time will tell for sure.
For now though, you can check out the images and sound off on what you think of all this on the boards.
Update: Better pic added. Additionally, a post from decemberist on the boards seems to confirm that it is indeed the BB Megatron design:
“Can confirm that’s the Megatron design we (3A/threezero) received assets of while we worked on development for the DLX figures for the Bee movie. The 3D model wasn’t finished, only the front half, his back detailing wasn’t designed yet”

If we're counting Rachet(who all things considered isn't actually that far structually from Que; who obviously does have a human face) then the twins get to be involved as well as they are hyper deformed in all their "glory".
The older movie autobot designs just like the decepticons were trying to have fun with the whole transformer thing; even if they sometimes flat out forgot this is meant to be anything beyond a monster.
I'm personally pro wacky faces to an extent though, could do without insect spam though. Which I mean I suppose is a comment on current designs rather than old hm? As that trend didn't die.
Eh, I see the issue; it gives too much menace to Megatron; when DotM wanted him to be a beaten down loser.
That head doesn't fit a crippled bot who doesn't do anything besides shoot someone in the back.

This would've been a great way to incorporate Megatron's iconic bucket-helmet, and would've probably been a better idea than just leaving his head wound covered by little more than a tarp. 😐

Nah that was mostly deceptions imo. Only really alien faces I can think of were bumblebee’s and ratchet. Dinobots don’t count.

Considering that's a control art. His on screen look would have the standards of Shatter and Dropkick. But more detailed because of his size. I'm not gonna judge a way simpler control art.

If they are changing time lines Unicron could pluck him from his icy prison at hover Dam and Behold Galvatron… or just have Cobra rebuild him as Tank Megatron.

yo that’s freaking awesome imo. Face is very bayverse but alien so it’s awesome. Especially his teeth.
Hope we’ll get more alien looking designs for both autobots and deceptions in the future.

TBH Megatron would destroy all of the characters 1to1 (excluding maybe scourge, especially in their first battle). I could see Prime and Primal teaming up to destroy him though. But that would without a doubt be a missed opportunity to inteoduce BW Megatron and in that case, it would be 1v1's. (Primal vs BW Megatron and Prime vs Megatron)
