We have an interesting discovery for the fandom tonight. As had been reported earlier, new ROTB toys are starting to be found in stores. One of them features a new Megatron boxart design we haven’t seen before.
This is leading some to speculate it could be the fabled Bumblebee movie Megatron model that had gone unused. With that being said, is it possible the previously-reported “MV6” Studio Series Leader will indeed be his BB incarnation after all? Only time will tell for sure.
For now though, you can check out the images and sound off on what you think of all this on the boards.
Update: Better pic added. Additionally, a post from decemberist on the boards seems to confirm that it is indeed the BB Megatron design:
“Can confirm that’s the Megatron design we (3A/threezero) received assets of while we worked on development for the DLX figures for the Bee movie. The 3D model wasn’t finished, only the front half, his back detailing wasn’t designed yet”

Are you calling me a complaining Gewunner? Or the guy I was talking to? Cause I definitely wasn’t complaining about anything and prefer quite a few Bay designs over their G1 counterparts.
Also hyped as hell to pick this figure up. It’s gonna look amazing next to the new SS BB Shockwave.

Once I get this in hand I'm taking a black sharpie to his face.
Make that obvious mustache really stand out.

Geewunners try not to complain challenge (impossible)
Overall this looks great, look forward to picking one up
Heavy Iron
What voyagers are you buying that are this size and this complex?
Cyberbot8460
They said he was gonna be one of the two, not that he would have been both.
Cyberbot8460
This has honestly got to be one of my favorite Megatron designs period.
Steampunk13
He forgot to account for the extremely different angles and distances the images were taken at. Definitely not an accurate impression of how they will scale with each other.
It should also be noted that SS ROTB Prime is inaccurately taller than the BB figure (as a result of tooling changes). All comparisons with BB Megs should be made with SS BB Prime.
TF Hot Rod
If he’s a little taller than Prime honestly? I’m okay it, not a big fan of Megatron being super big to Prime (TFA is a different situation).
octobotimus
Well that blows. He is supposed to be massive, so the figure is already inaccurate to its 1 source.

I was excited at the idea of finally having a large imposing decepticon Leader figure again. Instead we keep getting voyagers for $55.
I swear Scavenger is the last time we got a big movie leader that wasn’t just a tall stick figure.
TF Hot Rod
The toys head is a little small to me but the renders size is fine yeah.
Novaburnhilde
Man that render of Megs looks great, and just as I figured his head isn't as oversized as he is in that one render people kept comparing the design to to say his head was 'too small'
TF Hot Rod
Someone attempted on ig
Tacit_Ronin on Instagram: "That new MV6 Megatron is not going to be as big as I thought…. The scale is supposed to be 26 ft for Megatron vs 20ft OP I tried to align the box lines but perhaps that is not for the best. If someone else can do a better job that would be "
Steampunk13
If you can figure out the dimensions of the current SS leader boxes, then you’ll be able to see how big he is with these two images:

I have SS leader Primal’s box at my place but won’t be home for another 4 hours or so lol. Just glancing though, he seems more voyager sized than full leader sized. At best, I think he’ll be the same height as SS 07/ROTF Megatron. Which makes sense I guess. Those two Meg figures are technically undersized while still accurately towering over their respective Bay Prime figures.
TF Hot Rod
Smaller size is possible (which I might be fine with), hollowness seems good.

We’ll see if it was worth using budget on it when we see a full look. I’m rather suspicious of good looking figures from Hasbro now as I’m expecting hollowness and a smaller size to him. Always a catch.

View attachment 30145892 He reminds me of ROTF Megatron. A space tank but also has deployable wings for when in flight mode.
TF Hot Rod
Probably because they had extra budget left and that was what they used the last bit of it on.
Which fine by me since the robot mode looks good. Or just that the cad model had it when they got the model
octobotimus
I’m just wondering why they wasted budget on creating a 3rd terrible looking jet mode. Likely makes him smaller than he should be.
Steampunk13
Probably wouldn’t have transformed at all in the film.
Angry fan
I wonder if he was really gonna be a triple changer in the movieView attachment 30145807 View attachment 30145808 View attachment 30145809
