Hot on the heels of our possible first look at Rise Of The Beasts Mainline Voyager Optimus Primal, now we can share for you our first look at the new Transformers Rise Of The Beasts Mainline Flex Changers Nightbird via an eBay listing.
We have our first in-package images of this small and simple toy features a flexible rubber band which springs the transformation. In fact, Takara Tomy had already revealed this figure last week under their Beast Awakening (ROTB) “Kurutto Change” line together with a new Bumblebee toy. Now we know that they will be released as Flex Changers in the US which matches a previous listing from 2022.
See the images after the jump and then sound off on the 2005 Boards!

That's the typical Walmart setup, yeah. It's either all these toys, or all these toys + Mainline Voyagers.

not sure if there’s anything new

Didn't see this one anywhere on the news. There's a Bumblebee Flex Changer up for pre-order on a collector's site.

I like one step Changers so this could be cool but hard to tell how well it's executed without having in hand.
VKittyCat2023
Strange considering they are orange in the film.

I remember before Studio Series and these WERE the definitive versions… good times
Gee Won 1984
These are the ugly versions people buy until the Studio Series version comes out.

I mean unless they did extensive re-shoots, the car used on set is still an R33, lol.

Only problem is that Rise of The Beasts takes place in 1994, and the R34 Skyline wasn't produced until 1999. It was the last generation of Skyline, made from '99 to 2002 before the Skyline branding was dropped and just became the Nissan GT-R.
Nothing like anachronistic cars lol.

kids liking shitty garbage is why any of us are even here
Long3131
Genuinely confused at some of the comments, these flip changers are aimed a kids why they have that price point
Johntimus Prime
Yeah, and the Arcee retool was the inspiration for her Masterpiece, which of course was also based on Arcee.
She did then get another CHUG toy, using the "Cybertronian fembot racer" mold. It's kinda cool she'll be getting her own dedicated mold for once

Really loving the car mode here

It could be possible that the rubber used in the rubber band is not actually rubber, but that doesn't mean rot couldn't happen, or that it couldn't break at all. Rough play by children creates "junkers" all the time, even if the toys are sturdy materials.

Tbf she wasn't even a Transformer until the Legends toy I believe, which then she was an Arcee repaint.

Just bizarre.
What a monument waste of resource. This feels like something they would have tried in the 90s at the height of the toy industry when they could afford to burn cash on random weird gimmick lines.
MehWave
Hopefully no one snips the flex band thinking it\'s a tie to keep the figure in the box.
KodyCrimson
Flex Changers, that explains the weird band in those "one-steppers" we saw a bit back.
