Via Transformers At The Moon Facebook we can share for new concept art images of the Action Master Optimus Prime.
The images were recently sold via Heritage auction and they show two possible designs of and Action Masters Optimus Prime mold which can use his trailer as an exo-suit. We also have images of a big “trailer-gun-exo suit” mode. Considering the art, style and the fact that the images are dated 1991, these images could have been concepts for an Action Master Elite Optimus Prime.
See the images after the break and let us know your impressions on the 2005 Boards!

Energon Landmine altmode but instead of treads it's wheels.

Man that should be the easiest little gun thing they could make
Nitrostorm the skystriker
You think that perhaps they we're also working on an action master elite Megatron to go with this guy?

Way too much. I don\'t get some of these designs they are cool to look at but in reality how could it function properly. Why would it still be a simi anyway no one could get in it. https://news.tfw2005.com/wp-content…3/03/Action-Master-Elite-Optimus-Prime-01.jpg
not sure if that worked but anyway the others are okay.

of course, but if you're really gonna try and make a real world altmode for him, A dump truck snow plow would make the most sense; https://cdn.ironpla.net/i/1411/77/1411077_8843_159_0001.jpg

My best guess would be a futuristic version of what Scrapper turns into, since late G1 character designs tend to feel like Cybertronian/Earth hybrids.

speaking of, what is your opinion of what he turns into? he has a wheel loader bucket, but six wheels.

If that ever happens, Rollout would be a good choice. He’s already got visible altmode parts on him.

these are cool. i like how dumb the giant tractor wheels on the first one, and that second one is really nice. funny how in the obscured altmode on the second one shows that the big shoulder wheels aren't actually his wheels. the third image is incomprehensible, but still kinda badass.
the action master design aesthetic is such a vibe.

I'd love to see action masters like Jackpot get more actual alt-modes.

Looks cool. Someone should make it

Hmm, I'm not an expert but something about these feels fishy. I guess they look like the same art style as the other AM concept art, but it also looks like something that could be sketched by an art-savvy scammer.
I guess they already sold so moot point, but I wonder how Heritage Auctions verifies stuff like this, if they even try.

Wow, so surreal to see an actual design from sort of the declining days of G1 that never became a toy. Unlike many, I really liked Action Masters back then. And I loved PMOP. So I would've been all over this. Of course, back then I thought Action Masters were just a brief fun digression until the "real" Transformers returned but alas…
Well Turbomasters, but I don't think we got those here. Then G2 happened, of course. But it wasn't until BW that I really got to feel that TV show + full blown toys in tandem feeling again.
Part of me feels wistful remembering that decline of G1 and wondering where it had all gone lol. I definitely would've gotten this back then if it existed.

Always crazy to see this stuff still surfacing after all these years.

It’s concept art for a cancelled Optimus Prime toy that would have released in 1991. It shares design similarities with the Action Master Elites, which were transforming Action Masters being released in Europe around the same time.

Those giant gears give me Iron Man 2020/Godbuster Armor vibes…

Wow, so weird. Looks like Powermaster Prime with giant war wheels on the sides…
