Via YU’S HOBBY LAND Facebook we have images of the first renders of a new Y-C001 Legends Scale Metroplex.
According to the information shared, this is a new G1 Metroplex figure which is planned to be in scale with Legends scale figures made by companies like Newage or Magic Square. It will stand about 45 cm tall in robot mode with 20 articulation points. Keep in mind that these are early renders and we are yet to see a physical prototype.
See the render images after the jump and then sound off on the 2005 Boards!

I want to see this guy:

There's a lot of room for them to be creative on the deco since all we've got is what we've seen of the face and confirmation that the creative intent was for him to be Junkion colors.

Seconded.
Very tempted to pull the trigger on the Metroplex deco. Has anyone done fanmode tweaks to make the ship mode look better? Giant carrier landship is an awesome idea that Utopia nailed and I would love if this guy can get close to that high barView attachment 30350423

Let's hope you're right

I'm optimistic once they've finally gotten the Sixgun and Scamper figures out, we'll see a special edition with Metroplex and the Sixgun & Scamper kit all done up in Metrotitan colors.

I really hope so, but so far I haven't found any announcements about it and I'm starting to fear the worst…

They have to, right? Right??View attachment 30350416

Is it crazy that i want MORE light panels?? I never care about electronics but the real city lights on this look so good, I wish there were more on the forearms and even the tank, so his upper floors were lit up too.
Could have done without such absurdly large guns.

It's not a sticker, but I cut up some sticky notes by tracing the LED board and then sticking them in the indentations where the boards go. And I did keep the boards in, the light shines through pretty nicely with the stickers just in case you change your mind, but also they stick in place pretty well and keep the sticky notes in place.
I went with a color similar to these:

Does anyone else know if anyone has a sticker sheet I could apply to show the city lights instead of using the LEDS? I'm considering getting it, but I don't want to keep the LEDs om and I really don't like how he looks when they're off. Is ToyHax or someone else working on a sticker sheet?
Sharkysharky
Does anyone know exactly what the light up panels are, some kind of LED card ? The connections have come away on 2 of mine and I'm going to have to try to resolder them. Does anyone who's done this have any tips for me please?

yeah I know but seems crazy to me that it would take nearing 3 months to get a screw cover.

That GREATLY varies. They were using some middle-man, back in the day, that basically guaranteed months-long waits.
When I ordered my MP/Toyworld Devastator – it took something like 4 or 5 months.
Recently, it's more like 2-3 weeks. But I'm ordering smaller packages than that was.

If you put a request in and haven't heard back, it just means they are waiting on the part from the factory. They don't keep a seperate stock of spare parts, they get them all in shipments as the factory supplies them after being requested.
Criggity
I bought this and regretted it as it was being shipped, I don't care enough about Metroplex to want to own a big figure. It's been sitting in my closet for months.
It's unopened and new, so make a reasonable offer and I'll send it out

My figure was missing 1 screw cover and i've been waiting month to hear back from showstoreZ on a replacement. It's such a minor part I was hoping they have a million to spare.

You’re probably referring to my merged & deleted post. Yeah I swear I searched this site three different ways and never found it when I was looking for user reviews.

There is a whole thread on this since its inception.
