Coming to us via Chefatron YouTube channel we have our first in-hand images of the new Transformers Masterpiece Movie MPM-12N Nemesis Prime.

This figure is the inevitable Nemesis Prime/Black Convoy-style redeco in black and teal color scheme of the MPM-12 Bumblebee Movie Optimus Prime. We are sure your optics will be pleased with the new dark color scheme and Decepticon insignias. Of course, we have comparison shots next to the original MPM-12 mold in both robot and alt mode.

One thing I wish they did with MPM Nemesis is given him the outlined Decepticon emblem's on his shoulders (similar to the ones on MP-49 Nemesis) instead of those bright purple ones. The purple really sticks out on this and looks out of place.

I love Bee Prime and have 2 versions of the Voyager, I would have gotten the MP but the cat ears… Is he a good figure with the DNA kit? Or am I better off waiting for a Nemesis version of the Voyager?

Is this a Netflix Primal impression.

what I don't get is, why the Studio Series mold avoided the kitty ears and the MP couldn't.

The SS doesn't have the triangles on the robot shoulders. In that regard, it leads to a better truck, but the robot mode suffers. MPM prime is the unfortunate consequence of a severely cost cutted toy, they likely didn't want to repeat the disaster QC hasbro MPM4 so kept it as simple as humanly possible to maximise profit and minimise qc errors.

He will always be the Meow-Mix Transformer to me. That's the reason my definitive Optimus Prime is the Magnificent Mecha MM-01.

Wow, the cat ears really bug people that much? Suppose that's just one of many issues with that mold, but it's far from my personal stand out issue

the kitty cat ears still drive me nuts with this mold, but the coloring does look slick

It's actually a fantastic mold. We used to have a used toy store, it was there I got to play with it but they wanted $150 for it used so I passed. But damn was it nice. Different than MPM-04, which I do like especially the design for the 07 movie, but the red MPM-12 was a more "FUN" figure to mess with. ;)

I wanna see pics with MP49 and MP10B; a crowd of Nemesi in MP size should look awesome. Everything that's been said about this mold has been so said so I won't bother going into it. But I do really hope we get an MPM04 redeco as either Nemesis or Darkside Optimus (or both but I'd really love the latter) soon just to make the crowd of big bad black trucks even bigger.
