The official Takara Tomy Hobby Channel YouTube have uploaded an official transformation video of the new Transformers Masterpiece MPG-03 Trainbot Yukikaze.
The video shows a clear look at the realistic 200 Series Shinkansen bullet train and how it can interact with included rails and stand, the connection with other Masterpiece Trainbots and how you can storage Raiden’s head inside the train. Then we have a pretty detailed step-by-step transformation into robot mode (Raiden’s head can also be attached to the backpack) and the combiner mode as Raiden’s left leg.
To top it all, via twitter users @921_peace, @highwagyu, @keisuke98064471, @fus0car0l, @RiotControl2501 and 2005 Boards member Pixelmaster, we can share for you some in-hand images of Yukikaze which has just been delivered in Japan and some Asian countries.
See the new images after the jump and then let us know your impressions on the 2005 Boards!

That is the way I am rapidly leaning. I may just enjoy shouki as a one off and get kos if they make them or a mainline one

Its a weird design, the inner side of the leg is a kind of ratchet, so when it bends it feel ratcheted, the actual part rotating is a friction joint.

Jumping into this and seeing it through

Personally, I'm just willing to wait for a ko if there'll be any. I don't do this very often but I'm not going to stress out over a fact that I invested 700 bucks in a set that may be broken out of the box. At least 4P companies are providing replacement parts…

mine is still fine but the knee ratchet was never that great to begin with on mine but have not gotten worse

Have the ratchets in Getsuei's knees worn down a lot on anyone else's copy? mine have become pretty loose and there's visible powdery debris around the joints which I assume is plastic dust
Jalen Gatton07
Well apparently it disappeared lol

Not sure, I only got the coupon code when I was actively looking for something to get on their site
Jalen Gatton07
Damn. I really want it. But dont have the money. How long do these usually last?
Edit:Nevrmind that was fast lol

I got the Bishoujo Optimus Prime from them the other day, and I have Masterpiece Skyfire ordered, even though I'm not actually expecting that one to be filled.
Quippy
Also the product listing for getsuei no longer appears on their site so I guess that's that.

Beats me. They are a reliable site but when it come to these discounts, prepare for your order to be canceled.
ckhtiger
Let alone the fact that you can usually get a 10 to 20% off coupon code just by signing up for their emails.

57 is crazy

I'm super curious how they get their product and are able to discount it so much.
Quippy
Be careful, deepdiscount sometimes likes to cancel orders.

The little molded bumps on the knee joint are interfering with the black plastic to make it feel like it’s clicking. That’s how it’s designed. You should be feeling little bumps as you bend the lower leg. It’s not just a friction joint.

I greased mine and the stuff on the bottom of the faux ratchet is what ever is attaching itself to it, maybe rub from the black base, but even then the actual hole on the slider is clean so like you mentioned that's not what's happening. The detailing is designed to look like a ratchet but there is nothing its actually ratcheting with. I would say its like Getsuei's leg part, just dont try to slide it over without bracing it.

This is not true at all as far as we know. There is no ratchet in the knee. It’s a friction type “soft ratchet”. Meaning there’s no actual gear or spring. It just works by interference. And the knee breaks we are seeing are definitely being caused by the factory assembly and are there out of the box. Bending the knee might make it worse over time if it’s already broken. But bending the knee is not the cause.
Edit: I would recommend not moving the knee more than you have to to avoid it getting worse. That’s why I’m doing. Both knees are cracked on mine.

If I didn't think they would do repaint colors, I'd be all over that.
