Thanks to 2005 Boards member Metal Uzaki we have our first images of the new Micro Machines Transformers Mystery Pack Playset & Vehicle Series 2 found at Target.
These are plastic boxes which can open to become a mini playset for the mystery die-cast vehicle that comes inside. It’s a nice and detailed playset for its size and it features ports to connect with other Micro Machines playsets. As with Series 1, out of 12 possible vehicles only 6 are Transformers. You can identify each vehicle based on the playset code and numbers at the bottom of the packaging. Read on for the identification codes:
- 4A 01 – Grindor
- 4A 02 – Brawl
- 4B 01 – Heavy Duty Vehicle
- 4B 02 – Cargo truck
- 5A 01 – Ratchet (clear, chase)
- 5A 02 – Sentinel Prime
- 5B 01 – 1967 Chevy Camaro SS
- 5B 02 – 1977 Pontiac Trans AM
- 6A 01 – Nemesis Prime (The Last Knight)
- 6A 02 – G1 Jazz (Transformers 2007 Pointiac Solstice redeco)
- 6B 01 – 2020 Chevrolet Silverado
- 6B 02 – 2020 Ford F-150 (gold)
Different from Series 1, we have our first G1-inspired movie Jazz. Click on the bar to see the mirrored images on this news post and then share your impressions on these Micro Machines Transformers products on the 2005 Boards!

I have the Target exclusive 2007 G1 colors Jazz, so it’ll be cool seeing them next to eachother

Has anyone seen either series of these in Canada?

I\'m not familiar with the modern micro machines stuff past picking up some of the wave one transformers stuff. But does anyone that is familiar with it know if there is a way to get some of the strait track segments that are shown conecting things like the vehicle backgrounds and these small mystery play sets? The only way I\'m seeing to get any is in the large $30 to $40 play sets like the bumblebee one and that only has like 2 pieces. Would love to connect the few small sets from wave one and the few I plan to get from wave 2 for display on my shelf just to look retro, but don\'t feel like buying 3 or 4 large play sets just for that…

My son was super into RPMs back when he was 6.

There's G1 Jazz. That's it.
I've never come across a positive reference to RPMs, until now.
Metal Uzaki
Idk I still collect them because of the novelty and they kinda remind me of RPMs
THE-TRANSFORMER
After the Prime with Tracks playset I was both excited and worried about collecting all these little guys.
Thanks to them being basically all bayverse, I don't have to worry.
It's an odd choice? I would have thought G1 was the option to get that double hit of nostalgia. Don't think kids play with Micromachines today, nor kids who grew up with the bayfilms.

Micromachines are being licensed out to and produced by Jazwares without much if any involvement from Hasbro.
CringeMcCringle
Yay, another thing for me to look for at work lol!

I feel like this was a missed opportunity to incorporate Micro Machines into a larger playbox. The size of the cars themselves are fine but the playsets should be just slightly larger and use the Titans Return interlocking ramps designs. Imagine the huge playsets you could connect between these and Transformers Titans.

Hate to say it fan of micro machines don’t see these lasting very long

Strange, I'm sure by 2007 Micromachines didn't exist….

So Micromasters get cancelled and Micro Machines don’t?
KiraAthrunAsuka
Interesting… looks more like AOE version of Bug Bite.
iamdarthyoshi
Neat. Only have the sets from Amazon, but they're fun little guys that go pretty well with the older playsets.
Visiting California in a few weeks, so hopefully I can find these at some Targets.
Metal Uzaki
Just looked over the list again and I realized that 3 of the sets garuntee you a Transformers micro machine while the other 3 don’t. No set gives you the option for a Transformer or a standard car, so it’s not like series 1 where some sets have 2 versions. Oops.
Metal Uzaki
Oh, they’re like $10 each
