Transformers Rise Of The Beasts Studio Series Voyager Cheetor In-Hand Images

And once again to 2005 Boards member Bumblejazz for sharing in our boards our first in-hand images of the Transformers Rise Of The Beasts Studio Series Voyager Cheetor figure for our viewing pleasure.

Studio Series Cheetor is a more movie-accurate rendition of the character compared to the Rise Of The Beasts mainline mold. Coming in the Voyager scale, he is pretty tall and the sculpt shows a lot of details in robot and beast mode. Robot mode has got a nice range of articulation and comes with a large spear that can separated in two smaller parts. Transformation is quite interesting and it’s not as simple as we could have expected as we can see in a short video shared by twitter user @JeffySpectre.

The elbows on mine are really loose. He barely stands up in beast mode and only with his legs straight up. Can't do any sort of poses in beast mode.

Honestly I'm pretty disappointed with this figure. For what it is, it shouldn't be $35. Usually when i get a figure in hand it bumps it up a few points but not getting that here.

One of my elbows was loose too – future took care of that.

I'm digging my Cheetor. It's the first figure in a long time that I didn't transform once or twice and then throw into a bin. I have fiddled with Cheetor a ton – I especially enjoy trying to find cool "running" cheetah poses. Some of the ones I've seen others do are great!

Any place I could find the HD stock package images of him and rest of this wave? The ones we’ve got from that Korean(?) site weren’t the greatest quality

Kinda like Gerwalk mode for the Valkrye Macross Jets. But Bi pedal Beast humanoid mode. Nice.

I still say that if Hasbro takes these Studio Series beasts and repaint them into new characters in a Beast Planet capsule line, they would get me to buy these molds.

I have to admit (I think I posted this, but can't recall as it's been a long week and even longer weekend) that I actually like this figure. Turned out to be better than I originally gave him credit for and he looks better in person than he does in photos. The colors, in hand, are much better than you'd think.

Surprisingly well-articulated in robot mode, beast mode isn't shabby, and the transformation is kind of involved for something this simple. (You have to get the beast mode head juuuust right before the chest and spine doors close up the compartment.)

Holds his weapons well, the paint apps are nice and crisp, and he's pretty dang big for a Voyager. Surprisingly so, kind of taller than some WFC and Legacy figures. I didn't give him enough credit before, I am now. Nice figure, worth the dough.

I haven’t gotten him but same here, when I first saw him I thought he was okay but didn’t see why he was a voyager (wasn’t expecting him to be big size wise) but figured he would look better in hand and he did at Hasbro’s stream and he looks way better in in hand pictures. More tempted to get him now.
