Via 漫港湾 Weibo we can share for you new promotional images of the upcoming Transformers The Last Knight Bumblebee Smart Kit (Model Kit) By Trumpeter.
This is an officially licensed easy-to-build model kit which comes pre-painted and doesn’t need any glue, featuring a pretty good articulation range. Trumpeter had been releasing Bumblebee Movie model kits of the same scale previously with Bumblebee, Blitzwing, Cliffjumper, Arcee and Soundwave. According to the information shared, this new The Last Knight Bumblebee stands 9.5 cm tall once assembled, has got more than 70 parts and 27 articulation points. It also includes his battle hammer, arm gun and a display stand.

Thank you so much! I had a ton of fun working on this Bee model, I got to try some weathering I don't normally do!
Thank you, but I'm always learning myself!
VVa
I've got much to learn from him.
Shmoptimus Prime
You're so damn good at painting figures bro.
VVa
Looks sex-tacular.
And about DOTM Revoltech Bee…
I dont regret paying the aftermarket prices for him. He's awesome, just as TLK Trumpeter Bee is! If a bit bigger.

Just finished painting up my TLK Bee kit!
I gotta say, a perfectly screen accurate Bumblebe model is something I've been after for a while. I missed out on the DOTM Revoltech one back in the day, and the 3A stuff is awesome but kinda outside of my budget. Now we have a much cheaper option and I am loving it! This was a blast to assemble, paint, and pose, I'm super glad to have it!
I'm down for all of these that they do for the Bayverse, Hot Rod appears on Bee's box and we've seen a prototype of TLK Prime, looking forward to them whenever they release!
Also have to say that this model was painted pretty nicely out of the box. Still a lot for me to add, but that's part of what made it even more fun!

I've still got to work on removing excess ink on them but I felt like taking a photo of these two Beautiful BAY-BEE Boys.

Thanks! And yeah, very busy lately, but I have been enjoying the heck out of this bee, so maybe he does eventually deserve some extra detailing. I actually never ended up doing any work to my VW bee kit. I've already done more to the TLK one ha
VVa
Looking great!
And yeah I figured you don't have too much time either. You posted on your story on Instagram that your job is hella busy as of late.
But when you get the time or motivation, can't wait how Bee looks when you "go crazy" on him.
Though, was your VW Bee lined and silvered up as well?
Shmoptimus Prime
I did. I added some panel lining and a bit of black and silver. But I don't feel the need to go crazy with this thing right now.

Masking tape? Who do you think I am, a competent customiser??
Nah but seriously I'm fine with my less than professional methods.
And I'm shocked you haven't added paint or lining to VW Bee. He looks WAY better with some!
Shmoptimus Prime
If you have masking tape then use that to cover the parts you don't wanna paint.
Also, here’s a comparison pic I took yesterday, with the other Trumpeter kit I have. I’m so glad they’re doing some Bayverse too! The BBM ones didn’t appeal much to me with the scale being so off.

Suddenly I earlier had the motivation to paint the hands. But obviously I lack a steady hand! And the color matching isn't great. I'll work on getting them cleaned up later on, at least. View attachment 29855459
Shmoptimus Prime
Yeah I'm too lazy to do it, personally, since it'd require a layer of white before the yellow, and there are six of them, with four fingers each. That's 48 paint applications! I might do the most commonly used hands or something but maybe not.
VVa
Oi I just realised the first segments of his fingers aren't painted.

Cliffjumper redeco when?

Yeah, we kinda figured that part out.

They're like Gunpla, but you don't need to use cutters or nailclippers and are simpler.

I dunno, I'm a total NOOB. These are the only model kits I've ever assembled, and these are apparently the EASY ONES.
But…I don't know how people managed to snap em. Maybe the tolerances were off in earlier batches? Resulting in tighter sockets and weaker ankles?
